I thought 13k sounded low. I had 27k in my mind but I thought I was confusing it with Unicron. In which case, 17k for the chair sounds like a reasonable target to aim for. I think given the circumstances 27k might be a stretch, but there are going to be 17,000 people who will be drawn in by the pairing with Star Saber.

Its good that they kept the price under £200 and its not just the same height as VS it appears significantly bulkier. But for roughly the same price VS gave us two large toys with their own transformations and gimmicks.
This seems like one suped up Commander class and two "micromasters" compared to two commander (or 1 commander 1 leader) class toys in Victory Saber plus two repainted Micromasters.
Throne beats Shield though.

It's nice to see hasbro continue what they started with Victory Saber- terrible accessory "incentives." A stand. A chair. Meanwhile, the other haslabs get whole-ass new toys as their incentives. Agreed. That may well be a very nice chair, but it does feel like we're getting short-changed nonetheless. Also having had a look at the Bre- sorry, Micromaster companions a bit closer it seems that they're very short on articulation. Which, you know, is fine for an affordable retail item, but less so for something as pricey at this. I remain on the fence.

Also, 4,784. Still slow now. Well there are 3 Haslabs on at once in the run-up to Chrimbo. Like last year. Why the big push during the time of year when folk tend to be more strapped for cash? -Ralph

I’m guessing - and this is only a guess, mind you - that it’s because they’re idiots.
Or because it’s a desperate move to increase their 4Q profits and thus make the end of year figures look better. At the time of the year when most people have less spare money.
So they’re idiots.

I suspect people are actually a bit more willing to spend at this time of year (if they have the money). The 'oh it will be a present to me' philosophy, whereas the post Christmas blues and buyer's regret probably stick around for quite a while in the new year.

I'm just trying to think around this to get it into my head; this is an 11 inch figure, so he'll be about the same height as Siege Jetfire and possibly a little more chunky. That's quite a big figure. And next to him, Victory Sabre will be a smidge taller by the looks of it and a lot more chunky looking.

I find it annoying that with all the relatively obscure characters that have had new toys released to the mass market in recent years, the most desirable obscure characters, that haven't had Western releases at all, are being released as highly-priced HasLab products.

Upon reflection, I will have to pass on Deathsanrus. I just can't drop £190 two weeks before the first 'normal' Christmas in a few years. If there was a payment plan it would be fine but there isn't so I can't.

It hard to tell with the current blocky model but I would imagine Deathsaurus will be the bulkier of the two (if you ignore the giant stack of feet on VS). I still cant decide if its good value compared to commander class or Victory Saber. Hes going to be about commander class but probably a bit bulkier and more complex. And despite being called Micromasters, those breasts look closer to legends class. Plus a throne and bits and bobs. Is that worth an extra £80+?

I'm still on the fence about this. Although Victory Sabre should probably have his counterpart, I just don't know how excited I am with the basic idea of this. I'm actually more excited by Festivus Prime, since that's at least a slightly different idea. And I don't know if I have the pennies for both...

I'm personally not seeing why this guy can't be done at retail. He doesn't seem to be more complex than the typical commander (which is too big. I'd be much happier with him as a large leader, like the dinobots) He's not that much more obscure than a fair few mainline releases, like Lioconvoy. And as a big leader, he could have been retooled into BWII Galvatron.
