Today: Earlier, a few hours spent in cafe and pub, making good headway into the new Jack Reacher novel. Now, Aardman's 'The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!' on the telly.
Edit: Another tour de force from Brian Blessed in the role of the Pirate King.

Today was only the second day of the entire holiday where it wasn't raining, so I spent most of it outside cleaning, tidying and sweeping. Washed the car and the house windows. Just ready for it to chuck it down again tomorrow probably.

Morning All!
It's Tuesday 3rd Jan
Yesterday: Relatively quiet apart from Jonathan being ill in the middle of the day. That'll be today off college for him but 48 hours will have passed before his Weds lessons if we don't have a repeat. Andor finished in 3 days.
Awake till gone 2, really getting fed up with this.
Today: L back to teaching online. I need to ring DWP for J which I'm not looking forward to.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Paid to have some parcels collected by the postie this morning, and the bugger has only gone and not bothered. Delivered a letter but didn't even knock on the door, let alone ring twice. I've been up since 7 waiting for this, after not sleeping til I do not know when thanks to anxiety.
Quietly fuming and nervous that I'm not getting the service I'd paid for.

Possible parcels will come in a separate delivery later? Often do here.

I'm hoping so, but the last time I did this it was the same time as the delivery.

Our post here has been awful since around October, with 1st class sometimes taking weeks to arrive (or not at all). Hopefully, the Posties will succeed in their battle for decent pay and conditions.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday
Yesterday: Think most of the day went ok. Small lie in after poor night. Set a new record for shortest DWP wait time, couple of rings. BBTS box showed up. But very wobbly in evening, put myself on floor at one stage when light headed and then had a bad fall.
Awake till 3am, not great. Body did everything to stop me sleeping. Woken this morning v v sub par and with a face more painful than it's been for months :-(
Today: Leading 8am. L working. J college this afternoon once his 48 hours are up. Homegroup tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Went out this morning for a run, the first in months due to a wee ankle injury and then covid and the fun that came with that.
Didn't time it, just did my usual 5k route, ran around 4.5k of it, there's two really shitty uphill bits, one short and steep followed by a longer grindy bit, I walked for part of the grindy bit and a little after. No ill effects to report, was a wee bit light headed, but thats because I ran on an empty stomach.
Cardio is absolute bollocks, but having done fuck all since mid October not a surprise. Back on it on Friday and then hopefully back to 3 a week and we will see how things go.

Morning All!
It's Thursday
Yesterday: Surprisingly productive day. Led 8am feeling rotten after a poor night with a max of 4 hours sleep. Did a very thinky epic collection job in the morning which ended up with a surpisingly clear answer at the end. A bit rushed round lunch with comings and goings but I managed to make it to bed for afternoon sleep early so got up again earlier. Got pizza in for dinner and thanks to a mixup got extra so that's lunch for all of us sorted today. Good homegroup but ran out of go.
8 hours sleep! Thank you Lord!
Have had MASSIVE fall already this morning though :-(
Today: L teaching. J College. Not sure about me.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

It's a clean break and in plaster. I'm waiting for the virtual fracture clinic - which is not as exciting as it sounds, I'm just waiting for a phone call - to find out what's next.
I'm in good spirits, though, and not in too much pain. Laid up for a couple of days, but fidgety because I'm not used to lounging around all day. I've had to close the shop for a few days, of course, but as trade was good for Christmas, I'm fortunately in a position where that's not too much of a concern.

Pleased to hear it's at least a clean break, that should make the recovery time less. Take it easy though and don't rush the recovery.

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY!!!
Yesterday: Amazing what a difference a good night's sleep makes. Even after a very nasty fall early doors, have injured my hip, I still had a decent day. Got a bit done during the day and plans for a trip to The Smoke next week are taking shape.
1:30 am, not so good. VERY odd dream overnight. And not moving great this morning thanks to the hip.
Today: Not much. J out tonight.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting odd to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

My sleep has been variable this week, in a cast. Tuesday, the first night, was unsurprisingly difficult. Wednesday, slightly more used to it, I slept a bit better. Thursday, I found a far more comfortable way of arranging the cushions supporting my leg. Last night, that same arrangement was not comfortable at all and it took me hours and hours to find a comfortable way of sleeping; at the same time, I was too tired to do anything to occupy myself, yet too awake to sleep.

Left my friend's Birthday bbq just before midnight, opted not to wait the 45 mins for the last bus and walk home (nearly 5 miles), I regret that decision today.
