Was the Galvatron from Target 2006 to Wars Time was a clone?

In Two Megatrons it was revealed that the Megatron who fought alongside side Galvatron was created by Straxus but Galvatron had memories from the Megatron he was fighting against, so does that mean we should think of Galvatron as being made from the Straxus Megatron?

Was the Truth ever stated by someone?

Even at the time, the memories of Time Wars Galvatron, supposedly making up his own personal history, made no sense. He said he remembered (from his time as Megatron) witnessing Galvatron destroy all Optimus Prime's Autobots in 1989. But then he remembered the events of The Transformers: The Movie happening in 2005/6, as recounted to his prisoner Jazz in Target: 2006. But how could the Movie happen if all the Autobots were destroyed in 1989? Also, at the end of T:2006 Galvatron concluded he was in an alternate timeline. So why would he expect Time Wars to be something he remembered happening in his own past?

The only explanation I came up with was that Time Wars Galvatron was nuts, and his head was making up memories of things that never happened to him.

Time travel will do that to you. You never know which timeline you're going to end up in or what your actions will do to your own memories. Enough to break anyone's brain. Best just to get on with it and hope for the best. Of course, this only applies if you're not trying to take over the world / destroy the world / kill your own grandfather.

Or that he was seeing the events happen and his delusions were making him think that he had had memories of this happening. As Galvatron himself WAS a space/time event in and of himself, maybe the memories were being created as they happened?

Just about the ONLY thing Galvatron didn't do whilst time-hopping. . .

The time lines altered from the point in Target 2006 where Galvatron was surprised when he was attacked by Megatron at the start, that then leading to no memory of Megatron teaming up with the Autobots. Then the shock of #101 took him over the edge
