Transformers: Lord of the Matrix

So this idea is basically LotR set on Cybertron, with TFs cast as the LotR characters, and playing their roles.
Similar to various Muppet movies, like Christmas Carol and Treasure Island.

I'm having some issues as there are multiple great choices for several characters.

Here's what I got so far. About to need to run off to work, so list is far from complete. Absences are because I ran out of time... (Will also make the list easier to read later)

Well, for a start you need different 'races', so for example the Hobbits being humans, the Dwarves being Dinobots and the Elves being, I dunno, larger cars or something.

In the Marvel comics, Buster Witwicky had to carry the Creation Matrix in his head to hide it from Shockwave, and of course on Cybertron you had the Smelting Pool, so what if the Matrix had been corrupted by Unicron's essence so that if an Autobot took it they would turn to evil, but it was safe enough being carried by a human, except whenever Buster uses its powers (e.g. to heal a robot) the Decepticons detect its presence. Anyway, they have to cross the Space Bridge to Cybertron, cross Polyhex, get into Darkmount and somehow release the Matrix into the Smelting Pool to destroy both Unicron and the Decepticons' power base.

Er... Yeah, that could work.

The four Hobbit/humans would be Buster, Jessie, Sparkplug and 'O'.

Gandalf = Optimus Prime (he dies and comes back)
Aragorn = Bumblebee (Buster's faithful guardian)
Legolas = Jazz
Gimli = Grimlock
Boromir = Blaster (Marvel comic characterisation, of course)
Elrond = Prowl

Updated the list, and divided the characters into groupings that make a vague sense.
Still adding characters, and changing castings.

Currently running on the theme of Prime=King, which changed a few things.
Now debating back and forth between Orion Pax and Hotrod as Aragorn, or if Hotrod should be Aragorn and Optimus Prime is/was Isildur.

Megatron/Megatronus as Theoden vaguely fits that theme, but it really pushes that Nemesis Prime should be the Witch King.
But I really want Starscream and the seekers as the wraiths!
