How many times have you seen it on the wrong hand? Or does anyone think it should be on the other hand? Just looking at image of Shockwave on google search right now you get comic with on left hand (+ Transformers Prime cartoon) then Movie 3 on right hand. Unless image flipped. Has his cannon arm been wrong in any comics? I've never noticed if it has been.

In his first appearance in the cartoon he had two hands and no canon at all.

I remember the issue of the Marvel UK comic where in Buster's Special Teams dream he was seen to have two hands celebrating after destroying Optimus Prime, Jazz and Ratchet. I believe a reader wrote into Soundwaves about it and was told "it was because it was a dream".
See, I know stuff.
