I've never heard the expression 'one o'clock at night' before. One in the morning, many times. Many times. Many, many times. Yeah, Pinwig is entirely correct. One o'clock "at night"... I suppose you say, like, "TURN THAT MUSIC DOWN! IT'S ONE O'CLOCK AT N-" No, no you'd still say "in the morning."

Tell you what though, I'm so knackered I couldn't tell you if it was morning, noon or night. End of term compounded by having a cold. One day to go.

Real life can't be learnt from a dictionary. No, just the official meaning of words. OK, let's do it the old-fashioned way. "Is it morning yet?" "I don't know, we haven't invented clocks yet. Stick your head outside the cave and see." "It's still dark outside." "Then it's not morning yet." Martin

Morning All!
It's FRIDAY !!!!
Yesterday: Started badly with some pain all over body, especially in back from what I thought was where I'd lifted some stuff up the day before. That had a bit of a toll on the head as I felt the morning was rather wasted. Then just before lunch my tummy went wrong, the pain decreased and my head improved. The tummy seems to be responsible for causing pain in odd spots on my body elsewhere - had big pains pushing down on my hips too at time from it - and the pain in turn weakens my head. Relationship between them is obvious now I think about it but isn't at the time. Afternoon was a bit of a slog, didn't sleep right, but I did grab the Toxitron deluxe during the brief period IDT had them up and evening was busy with toy reveals done the old fashioned way by hunting for someone on twitter at SDCC taking pictures with their phone!
Today: Prep for Sunday, a few bits of SDCC reveals from last night. Parcel due. Liz home! J out at end of term church youth event.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

This is the problem with straw man arguments.. 😉 Words and meaning have fluidity and intent beyond the 'official'. Especially in multidimensional cases like this.

Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise the Lord!
Yesterday: Fall very first thing rater set the tone for the day in which the body was heavily influenced by the bad weather. Struggled during zoom with Mum, had a decent TMUK call. 3 Books - 2 separate deliveries which got me woken up both times - and a toy delivered.
Today: Church and not much else.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Dictionaries are some of the best books money can buy. -Ralph Indeed. Mind you, I spent several thousand pounds on buying a range of different dictionaries to suit levels of need for every class in my school, they all have a tailored set, but all I ever hear is, "Can I look it up on an iPad?"

It doesn't rule it out either. Paper dictionaries still have their place, but teaching kids how to source reliable information using digital technology is a vital skill too.
In other words Pinwig should open some toys as well as dictionaries.

Yes, yes.
What?
Hang on, I have opened toys this week. I got the troop builder pack out last night and last week I did Crashbar and Metalhawk. That's six! How many have you done this week?
