Watched 4:01 Glastnost this morning.
Excellent stuff, although the thing I had been dreading from looking at the trailer & cast list happened in almost exactly the manner I thought it would.
A big question left from last year BUT there's an insinuation in the trailer to the answer to that

I have a question for Bogatan (and down the line for Grand Moff Muffin) but Do Not Under Any Circumstances Look At the Question UNTIL you've seen the fifth episode of season 4, Goldilocks. The question is: Did they eat Danny? A look online suggests that I am not the only one to think this, and that others got there before this week

Yes. I'm relieved that the Russians have been portrayed more as rounded human beings in this season. The plot is still gold, while the time jumps are still annoying, as is the soap opera standard dialogue and cast, which continues to make me wonder how good it would be to tell this wonderful story with West Wing / Game of Thrones standard writers and actors. Still hugely imaginative and original, though. Martin

Did you clock that Dimitri Mikhailovitch, the Russian Doctor and first over to Sojourner who called Rolan Baranov a Traitor, was the Doctor from Zvezda in s2ep9 who came over to Jamestown to examine the unconscious Baranov and his deceased colleague?
And that Nick Corrado, the bearded Helios astronaut looking after the toy dog, was the Linus on Jamestown pre Tracy?

Nope, sorry, they hadn't made that much of an impression first time round. Thanks for the continuity point!

It nicely illustrates the work they've done planting and building up the background characters
Mad Bomber Charles Bernitz was barely recognisable as the Marine who had trouble with the LSAM in s2 but he makes it clear on screen they're the same character and Alex "lost my pass" Rossi is pretty recognisable as the moonbase commander in s2
There's some nice prefiguring of the big final stunt when you see them salvaging the fuel from Mars 94 making it clear Kelly can expertly use the manoeuvring unit, and who's she out there with at the time? Alex.
Some pretty nasty deaths in s3, with Sylvie Kaplan's crushing probably winning it for me, but Ilya Yozhkin's death in spacesuit in s2 is going to take some topping still!
Significant deaths in the final episode, and I'll miss Molly. Her absence for most of s3 was noticable
The big twist for the season - end of s9 - has nice hints at all along but I'm not sure anyone sees it coming
It's interesting seeing how the Russians, and others, react when with their countrymen but are different when by themselves, or isolated as Kuz & Dimitri find themselves late on

FAB 2012 Kuknetzov station :-) I think Kuz would have been proud even though his Tire Iron played a part in proceedings, as I thought it would the moment I saw it go into the ground in 310
I really thought we were heading for an Asteroid colliding with Earth/Mars and a massive loss of life so to get that happy an ending and a 0 body count.... incredible. Is that the first time a season finale hasn't seen a loss of life?
110 Deke 210 Gordo, Tracy, Paulson, a Cosmonaut 310 Karen, Molly, Emma and hundreds of others at the Johnson Space Center
Could have done with a bit more space throughout the series. More Ellen & Pam, more Bill. Kelly did surprisingly little. Was no Larry at all, we've no idea what happened to him. No Wayne, but he got a mention early on!
Still the hanging question of "did they eat ..." between s3 & s4 but I could see how it would be a bit difficult to state that. Then we have the question of "the woman you know as Irina Morokova"'s real identity, which may give her bumping off Sergei, if it was her, an extra dimension. There's two candidates, and they BOTH could be the same woman.... Nice to see her getting her inevitable comeuppance on return home.
I can see Alex, Avery, at least one of the Diaz children, possibly the Dale children and the newly arrived baby Johnson being future adult main characters.
Of the long term cast I think Margo looks done, but I suspect we may see her again. Dani almost certainly. Ed's still up there. Kelly & Aleida are young enough to have some mileage left as are, although a bit older, Dev & Mayakovski
