Sounds rude.

I've finally gotten around to opening up Windblade and I am annoyed because... she is good. And that's annoying because I'm generally pretty aloof and disinterested in the current state of the Generations line, on account of it being an unadventurous line of competent but fun-free representations of various characters. But go and put in one of my favourites and of course I love it. Because I'm a fucking hypocrite. Again. I mean she's not as good as the Titans Return version, of course, but still pretty good.
What really does confuse me though is the amount of 5m- C.O.M.B- Evo-Fusion ports on her. I mean I know that the line retains the adding-on-lots-of-bits gimmick that they've had since Siege, but generally the number of ports on figures has been scaled right back over the years. Guess they've started remembering that the line's meant to have a gimmick again. Or something. Who knows...

I don't think it has been that much, with the exception of the organic Beast Modes which have none, that could be skewing your view. There's always been some on every vehicle

The newest toy I've picked up is Chase, and he's got a total of seven different mounting points (3 on each side of the vehicle mode, and one on the trunk). So my limited experience suggests they are still fairly well supplied.

Animated Prowl has maybe three, one awkward one on the back of the fuel tank, and one on each shoulder that I'm not sure if they are even mounting points.

Yeah, could well be that - I have been buying more Beast Wars-related figures recently. And also Studio Series figures repackaged as Generations toys (e.g. Toxitron Jazz and Grimlock), which probably explains why my thinking had gone that way...

Now generally I'm not that interested in Galaxy Force redoes here, because we've got most of the originals. But that does look nice. Especially that smirk...

This ones quite important as the Voyager version never appeared in the west in it's original colours and all we got was the Supreme version or the Voyager recoloured

I'm quite torn, I should like this more than I do. I really liked the original, I've still got the Thrust coloured one and the tiny one in Skywarp's colours. But I'm not feeling this yet.

It irritates me that this isn't the new SG Starscream base Seeing as the SG Starscream preceded it by 3 years that'd be difficult tmukhub.proboards.com/post/449171/threadFun Pub whacked the SG deco on multiple toy designs, nothing to stop Hasbro doing the same

Starscream looks quite nice. I sold my original GF one a while back and kept the nice Thrust-like recolour.
I always found the alt-mode a bit too hazily defined, doesn't look like much of anything, which hasn't changed here but I do like the robot mode.
Lots of repaint potential, but I think I'd most like to see him as Cybertron Ramjet and Sunstorm (from the smaller toys).

Bombshell is the main man when it comes to Insecticons for me. He was the most interesting to me as a kid and I've had my G1 since '85. I was a little worried this new one wasn't going to be quite as good as the first two, but I reckon he's pretty good. The horn suffers a bit from being cartoon proportioned and the back end of the beetle is a bit bulky, but the robot mode is great. My Insecticons finally have their leader!

Well of course they're going to remold that Animated Prime head - how else to get many uses out of that mold? Aside from all the other variants, of course. What's the betting the face-plated Prime will only be available as Animated Nemesis Prime, or something..?
