An idea occurred to me about something that wouldn't be massively labour intensive and would let folks go at their own pace, but it would build up a nice library of things for the TMUK table at future TFN's and other events.
Cast your mind back to the year 1996 - Beast Wars is the new hotness and we have a pack-in comic with the Bat-Primal and Megalligator two pack.
12 pages - square (ish) dimensions 10.2 cm v 11.5 cm to be exact. 1 cover 8 pages of comic 2 pages of toy photos 1 back cover - cross sell of other toys uing their box-art.
Be fun to try and do some era specific pack-in comics (no Armada - they had them remember) not restricted by anything other than showing off some era-specific toys, and you can go whereever and telling something of a story.
I'm happy to work up templates for getting files printed and lettering if people aren't comfortable doing that.
Now clearly I am calling dibs on a G1 Ratchet vs someone comic.

I'll scan in the Beast Wars two pack comic so you can get a look at the actual contents tomorrow.
In terms of art - doing each page at either 1.5 or twice up still fits comfortably on a Page of A4 paper, I've already mocked up the templates.

Calling dibs on continuing the Decoys strip! -Ralph Decoy comic was slightly different page dimensions, so would be more like a newspaper strip, but happy to draw that one. Let me see if I can find a decoy leaflet.

This is a great idea. Can I call dibs on a Head/Targetmasters one?

This is a great idea. Can I call dibs on a Head/Targetmasters one? The idea is to do several for each range, so you are best calling dibs on a character or two.

drive.google.com/drive/folders/10_dVA4unwU2SucOKOAa1FkM6MjgBc1v9?usp=drive_linkThere is a sub-folder which has scans of the Beast Wars pack in comic for those not familiar with the contents or style. I have also provided templates for use with drawing pages, at 1 and a half and two times print size for ease of drawing. There are also two versions of each - 1 in blue ink and 1 in black. The inner square is what will actually be printed, the outer square is the bleed, anything in there is likely to be chopped off, it is to ensure when printed it all goes to the edge of the page. For anyone wanting do do their art digitally there is a PSD there, I've left it RGB so you can use it in Procreate on the iPad (it hates CMYK).

I'm down for this, but I'm no sure I've got a story in me, will have a ponder. Mind, any range, any era (except ones that had pack in comics) so don't think it needs to be G1...

Having had a look at the example, to clarify: we claim two characters, so there's a bit of conflict?

Having had a look at the example, to clarify: we claim two characters, so there's a bit of conflict? You can if you want, the example was from the two pack hence the two characters, but I wouldn't see it as essential, and as you can see while Prime and Megs get the spotlight we do see other characters in there.

Okay, I'll take a pop at Cyberverse Wildwheel (focus) and Repugnus as background/antagonists.

Beat me to it!
Think I will try to do Pretender Cloudburst, Twin Twist and Grand Maximus. In separate comics.
Does any artist want to team up with me?

This is a great idea. Can I call dibs on a Head/Targetmasters one? As long as you don't need anything too technical / difficult to draw, and the deadline is far away enough in the future, I might be willing to draw/colour this one. I was thinking maybe, Pointblank Vs Sixshot?
