If you were at TF Nation this year in the UK you might have seen the Kneel Before Zod fanzine, a 120 page full colour fanzine celebrating 40 years of the Gobots. The print run sold out, so if you weren't there in person you couldn't get one. As the fanzine is in aid of charity (we are supporting Mary's Meals who supply school meals to some of the world's poorest children), we are launching a reprint of both this fanzine and our 2016 Rock Lords fanzine. Pre-orders can be found here during October: ko-fi.com/rocklordsrock/shopThe Gobots fanzine has a new alternate cover featuring repaints of Crasher and Cy-Kill, and has: - 38 pages of comic strips - 26 page photo guide to all of the regular and Super Gobots - Interview with Tom Scioli (Writer/artist of IDW's 'Transformers vs GI Joe' and 'Gobots') - Complete guide to the Eagle Robo Machines comic - A story explaining why Captain Picard has a Gobot in the episode of Star Trek the Next Generation 'Gambit' The Rock Lords fanzine is 40+ pages (it is still being finalised) and is a full colour reprint of the 2016 original with additional bonus content, including a photo guide to all the toys. [Any of you who were a contributor to the original Rock Lords fanzine will of course get a comp copy of the redux version] We'll post worldwide though it is a heavy fanzine, and all the profits will go to charity. Please share far and wide!

A wee timelapse of the colouring of the Rock Lords tale with some suitable accompanying audio, had to delete and reupload as the art was cropped at a weird size.

This is your final reminder to preorder if you've not done so. Currently finishing off the Rock Lords Redux fanzine, looks like it will be 60 pages, just need to finish tweaking some artwork, waiting for some tweaks from Turnbull's comic and then we're ready to go. It will include some VERY EXCITING STUFF. (Anyone who was an original contributor will get a copy of the Rock Lords one). I'm keeping preorders open up until I send the files off to print

Zines are here and going out. About a quarter sent out so far, and two in people's hands already despite them only arriving yesterday!

If anyone who didn't order the Rock Lords reprint needs one, I have plenty of spares after pre-orders, the cost would be £6 + £2.50 uk postage. It is very different to the original 2016 version with an additional 40 pages and even the original pieces mostly redone and expanded/coloured

I am going to read the new one side by side with the original to explore the regeneration.

Made time to read this through last night, then did a side by side comparison with the original. You are selling this short calling this a reprint, Matt. Really. There's so much new content in this, and expanded versions of the original articles that this is a 2.0 at least. Whole new comic strips and I see Andy's done a cracking new last page for his and Ralph's one. That's a fab toy style Optimus. The media guide has got bigger too. Even Jaw Ache got the bits back in that had to be cut for space. It really has been polished to match the style of the recent zines
It's a fantastic job and a reminder of how much fun we had with Rock Lords that year. The visual toy guide now has me wanting to complete the basic waves I started buying that year. That's going on the 2024 Resolution list!

Cheers, it's my best toy-accurate Optimus illustration to date. I always felt the story was cramped in that last page, so splitting into two gave it a bit more breathing space and thankfully Matt had the space to indulge me.
