Some nice looking figures there! They're 3 and 3/4 inch scale, aren't they? Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow in particular look nice. Great expression on Storm Shadow's face!

I rather like the look of the new take on the Tomahawk. It looks like it is packed with play features, I am rather tempted I must admit.

The New Tomahawk got me thinking....
You know what a black repaint of the Tomahawk would be good for? Am 83/84 Action Force SAS Force attack hellicopter. It always grieved me that they had no proper helicopter.
Which then got me thinking.....
Which of the later GI Joe/Cobra vehicles would assign well to the 83/84 Forces/Enemy factions?
Obviously Q Force would get the Whale, Flagg, Sharc & Tactical Battle Platform.... and Space Force would get the Defiant and Star Brigade stuff. And the Artic Gear would probably end up with a new Artic Force.
But what about the rest?

I have a few thoughts off the top of my head:-
SAS Force get:
Tomahawk, with pack-in figure "Dustoff", SAS Force's Australian Pilot C.L.A.W - repainting to suit and renamed "SAS Force Aerial Attack", with a new "S.A.S Force Trooper" figure A.W.E Striker - "SAS Striker" with "Night Track" Silver Mirage - "S.A.S Force Rapid Attack"
Z-Force get:
Dragonfly, renamed "Z-Force Attack Helicopter" and including pilot "Wild Bill" Cobra Stinger, repainted in green/black "Central European" camouflage and renamed "Z-Force Anti-Aircraft Jeep" Mauler MBT - renamed "Z-Force Challenger Tank" with commander "Heavy Tread" Mobile Command Centre - pack-in figure is "Dusty", a variant on General Hawk and whose bio-card hints at him being a long serving veteran. Slugger - "Z-Force Mobile Gun" with "Thunder"
Red Shadows:
POGO - "Satellite Assault" Future Force Vector - "Orbital Attack Fighter", with pilot "Red Hawk" H.A.V.O.C - "Coyote" with "Red Wolf" Firebat - "Vulture" with "Red Buzzard" Tactical Battle Platform - "Red Shadow Enemy Headquarters"
As I say, a few off the top of my head.

Burns speaks rubbish as ever on this matter.
Kaptain: I'd pictured the enemy getting all the really nutty Cobra stuff (and it does get very nutty) but the Havok is an inspired choice.
In the meanhap I now have my 25th Lift Ticket down from the loft and have given him the joyous news. His wait has begun....

That is a cover of joy. I am a ways behind on this series. May pick it up when it gets into the price-drop territory, the fact that it has the Black Major and a Robo-skull is tempting.
