OBSCURE CHARACTER CHAT!
Bullhorn and Pathfinder.
I can't clearly remember which is which. But I think it was Pathfinder who had the strimmer.
I had the original figures. And they came back into my mind the other day WHEN-
I got out my Star Wars figures and realised I'd armed Jabba's goon 'Pote Snitkin' with Bullhorn or Pathfinder's bizarre looking hand gun. It's pale-green and looks like a raygun or a machine pistol.
I have a fairly clear mental imagine of Pathfinder, the guy with the strimmer. Kind of a black and tan camouflage. And he had a nice hat and was wearing sunglasses.
Bullhorn I can't visualise... brown was involved. But... I think it's his gun I've -somehow- kept all these years and bequeathed to Mr Snitkin.

OBSCURE CHARACTER CHAT!
Do you recall that there was Joe called....
SHOCKWAVE!!!
He was a SWAT dude in blue camo. I had the original and the 25th Anniversary for a while. Both nice figures. 25th had a removable hat.
I remember being confused and disappointed that his Secondary Military Speciality was 'choir'.

The Kickstarter for the paperback version of the big book of UK Action Force toys finishes today. I'm so very tempted because I love a toy archive book but it comes to £70+ with the postage.

I really liked the look of that but it seemed a bit pricey for a paperback version of an already produced book.
That said, I'll probably regret not backing it now...

Martin doesn't do preorders.
First Classified version of Zartan (#23) acquired from a Cardiff shop. List two posts earlier edited to reflect this. This means I now have one version of each Cobra character released in Classified up to but not including #43-45 (Dr Mindbender, Tomax and Xamot). Plus the Origins movie versions.

Bazooka has arrived! If I could find a reasonably priced Cobra I'd be halfway through The List already.
1. Footloose 2. Dusty 3. Cobra 4. Snow serpent 5. Flint 6. Lady Jaye 7. Storm shadow 8. Eel 9. Barbecue 10. Bazooka 11. Crimson guard 12. Tele-viper 13. Airtight 14. Snake Eyes plus timber 15. Ripper 16. Buzzer 17. Shipwreck 18. Alpine 19. Destro 20. Quick Kick
Lovely packaging art on Bazooka, it's a shame he's one of the last to get this treatment before the very boring-looking packaging that will be landing shortly.

I do not feel any such urge.
The line shows no sign of slowing down, and the list continues to grow in length twice as quickly as I buy them. In the early days I had about half of them, and that remains unchanged - I currently have 30 of the 60 that are currently available. By and large, I'd say I have the best half of the line. Mostly Cobras.

I can't believe I'm still waiting for them to do General Hawk. Martin He does seem like a glaring omission doesn't he? My guess is he's reserved for an exclusive like Serpentor and Dr Mindbender and there's only so many of those they can do.

Are the pack in figures O-Ring? Yes. Having explored this a little I think the two figures in these mashup sets are basically remakes of the 80s original figures, they aren't quite as detailed as the recent 3.75 inch retro Joe line ones when you look at this Baroness/Stalker side by side with the ones in that line. However they seem to have the same backing card. The ever useful Actionfigure411 site seems to suggest that the Haslab/Pulse exclusive/Mashup figures are all o-ring styled on the originals, but the other 3.75 inch retro figures are modern versions. www.actionfigure411.com/gijoe/retro-price-guide.phpI'd love a Cobra Commander and a few Cobra troopers to stand with Megatron, but it isn't a priority. I'm getting parcels almost daily at the moment and I've reached the 'rolling of eyes' point with Mrs P.
