You're understanding as if the Range Viper is named appropriately does rather hinge on if you conside his grenade launcher a ranged weapon Is there any situation where a grenade launcher used to launch grenades isn't a ranged weapon? By definition it is designed to launch the grenade in order to make it be somewhere else when it explodes. I mean, having a grenade detonate where the user happens to be is a rather... involved.. method of the user shooting themselves... surely? I suppose you could bludgeon someone with the grenade launcher. But that that point it is basically just a much more expensive stick... Karl

Classified Retro
Crimson Guard Snake Eyes Baroness Destro Gung-Ho Lady Jaye Storm Shadow Zartan
Retro Storm Shadow and Arctic B.A.T. acquired.
The Arctic B.A.T. is good, but flawed in that while it comes with a chainsaw and sniper rifle instead of the three arm attachments that came with the previous three B.A.T.s, it still has the storage backpack for the three absent arm attachments but nowhere to stow its new things. Almost as if they planned to include the three attachments but dropped them (but not the backpack) at a late stage.
Cool new head.

I canceled my Arctic B.A.T. order because I realised I wasn't very fussed about it anyway, but if I'd noticed that in advance I probably wouldn't have even put the preorder in! That would irk me a lot, I think. If the standard B.A.T. was still easily available I think I'd prefer to army-build that.
Snow Job and the Valkyries arrived the other day, and Tele-Viper and the Trouble Bubble should be with me early next week. It looks like both Serpentor and Mindbender are finally making it to the EU store next month too, so expensive times!

The retro-packaged Classified releases have it to some extent. The nearest one to hand I have has four of those card art images on it (though two of them are silhouettes).

He has so... much... Stuff! Inluding snow shoes. And a snow board! He comes with everything you could think of, short of a matching robot partner. Oh wait, that's why I've got the Arctic B.A.T. And he can't ride his snow board and wear his snow shoes at the same time. But the B.A.T. has the same shoe size, so... B.A.T. on a snow board! Putting the Snow Serpent alongside Snake Eyes and Timber reminds me of that second story in Action Force Monthly #3. I may need more than one. Martin

No, about two thirds of them are on cupboard shelves in plastic boxes, the other more accessible third of them sort of on display standing on cupboard shelves.

A secret GI Joe cupboard! Fantastic!
I did wonder. You've got a fair few there now, reaching past that point where a collection is just too big to keep together in one place. Storage boxes came into play when I got to that point with Origins.

Oh yes, but it helps enormously that I don't keep the packaging, I've steered clear of vehicles, and there are no playsets like Castle Grayskull. Figures standing up take up very little area on a shelf.

Just realised that I have one remaining Joe figure left in the house - and that it is Low Light. Hmm. I'd have expected him to be the second last Joe to go out the door, but apparently not.
Anyone need a 3+1/2inch RoC/PoC era Low Light?

Interesting. Have to say I'm not mad on the Classified Python Patrol as a team. I mean, all five Crimson figures match, and all five blue infantry figures match, but the five Pythons released so far don't really match colour-wise, e.g. Vypra alongside Python Crimson Guard - so different. They're all over the place. Martin

How many figures from the subsets (Tiger Force, Python Patrol, Night Force and Marauders) have Classified done? By my reckoning: Five Python Patrol (Officer, Viper, B.A.T., Crimson Guard and Vypra) Five Tiger Force (Dusty, Bazooka, Recondo, Duke, Flint) One Marauder (Barbecue) Two Night Force (Big Ben, Shooter) Got all five Python Patrol. Also collecting other Cobra subsets: Blue infantry (Cobra Trooper, Cobra Infantry, Cobra Officer, two Valkyries) Crimson Guard (boxed C.G., carded C.G., Crimson B.A.T., Crimson Viper) Vipers (Viper Officer, three variants on basic Viper, Alley Viper, Range Viper) Arctic (Snow Serpent, Arctic B.A.T.) Ninjas (Storm Shadow, Red Ninja, two Blue Ninjas) Martin
