He also has a lot of new stuff - mines, night-vision goggles and an Evil Roller with hand-held remote. (Compared with the Cobra Island version that came with a flying drone.) Martin

I've dithered a bit on Firefly, the new one does look nice though with some fun accessories. Sadly you can't afford to dither much on Classified figures as they sell out fast via the one official outlet and get scalped / gouged otherwise!
My Tripwire, Apsara and M.A.C.L.E.O.D. arrived today. I have no strong connection to Tripwire as a character at all, but I liked the look of the photos when he was announced and it's a fun set, great accessories. My daughter will likely mock me for his multiple-outfits-like-a-Barbie, but then that is part of the appeal!
I just wish using the Classified backpacks wasn't such a fraught experience. Stressmarks on this one already.

I am not a fan of Super 7. Their artificial scarcity model and accompanying high prices are everything that is wrong with the modern toy industry. Their products are often years late. Also: a lot of their stuff looks shite. Hasbro do a much better job of Retro-style figures.
I do, however, think this looks like a proper play set so I must give some kudos. The price? No. Typical behaviour from them though.

Crimson Alley Viper?
That's quite specific isn't it? Do Cobra carry out many operations in red hued back streets?

Crimson Alley Viper? That's quite specific isn't it? Do Cobra carry out many operations in red hued back streets? If what I have been told is true, dark reds are actually better at blending in at night than black is. So perhaps they are carrying out a lot of operations under the cover of darkness. Alternatively, it being Cobra...and they just aren't even trying for subtlety... Karl

If what I have been told is true, dark reds are actually better at blending in at night than black is. That would be consistent with all the Red Ninjas in G.I. Joe and Marvel. Martin

Classified Doctor Mindbender arrived almost a year to the day after putting in a Pulse pre-order. I think he's been available in specialist shops and importers since late 2022? Not at this price, to be fair, and inflation has since caught up - he's the same price as the standard Tripwire who came out the other week, despite being an exclusive in fancy packaging.
Anyway, Nazi-esque super-scientist who dresses like a villain from a superhero comic, except shirtless and ripped, remains an amazing aesthetic. 10/10.

See, I honestly think that is the beauty of Doctor Mindbender. He _is_ in the wrong franchise but entirely lacks the self-awareness to realise it... I tend to look at it that Mindbender thinks that _he_ is the normal one, and everyone else is doing it wrong...it makes him more entertaining somehow.

Just aesthetically - more supervillain than futuristic military. www.yojoe.com/action/86/drmindbender.shtmlThough Cobra already had ninja and biker mercenary offshoot elements (introduced in years 3-4) before Mindbender and Serpentor (year 5) took them into supervillain territory. Martin

Is that anything to do with the way the line evolved? Is his origin as a toy different to the others? Or did the 3.75 inch Joe line have a uniform start (I mean in comparison to something like Transformers which was bits of lots of lines mashed together).
