"Technically, G.I. Joe does not exist, but if it did, it'd be comprised of the top men and women from the top military units in the world, the alpha dogs. When all else fails, we don't." "You don't ask to be part of G.I. Joe. You get asked." Martin Umm, excuse me, but could I be part of G.I.Joe please?

Yes you must put a hat on a baby if you're outside in the cold, especially if the baby is small, as they lose body heat very quickly.

I never much cared for Sgt Slaughter. As a character he's an archetype I never much liked, and I was somehow aware of him as a wrestler before I was aware he had anything to do with GI Joe / Action Force, which also seemed weird.
I think the only one of those repaint subteams I was aware of as a child was Tigerforce, which I loved and have had to employ a lot of restraint in not chasing the Classified versions (only picked up Outback). The Classified Nightforce releases do look very nice, but again have successfully restrained myself.

Yeah as a UK fan your appreciation hinges on knowing if he was a wrestler or not. I didn't, and only found out much later so quite like the Joe Drill Instructor, especially the one with the Warthog www.yojoe.com/vehicles/88/warthog/The Tag Team Terminator OTOH can f the f off though as it has a stupid name that only make sense when you know the Sarge is a wrestler. Vehicle is still stupid though www.yojoe.com/vehicles/86/triplet/I think the only one of those repaint subteams I was aware of as a child was Tigerforce, which I loved and have had to employ a lot of restraint in not chasing the Classified versions (only picked up Outback). The Classified Nightforce releases do look very nice, but again have successfully restrained myself. GI Joe loved it's subteams, especially as a way of doing a quick repaint www.yojoe.com/action/subteams/Of the repaint teams the UK got Tiger Force - where I got Duke, original mold Roadblock & Tripwire - the Sky Patrol and the Sonic Fighters We missed out on Nightforce, Python Patrol & Marauders. Later sub teams use mainly new figures and are less of a repaint frenzy

Am I right in thinking we were year behind the US for a lot of the line? Ta, Jonathan Two years! Confining ourselves to the single carded figures The orange carded 1985 line is US 83 & 84 www.yojoe.com/action/83/ & www.yojoe.com/action/84/ Snake Eyes - previously available as SAS Driver Stalker - and Spirit are missing. Grunt is a mail away. Rock n Roll is renamed Ton-Uo and replaces Cover-Girl as the Wolverine Driver. A grey Short Fuze is named Moondancer and pilots the Triad fighter. A Grey Zap is renamed Dolphin and pilots the Sea Lion. 1987 starts with the US 1985 toys www.yojoe.com/action/88/. Of the new for 85 figures we don't get Torch. We also get Destro, Cobra and Stormshadow carried forward from previous years 1988 is the US 1986 toys. www.yojoe.com/action/86/ Lowlight misses out 1989 is the the US 1987 and some 88 toys. www.yojoe.com/action/87/ & www.yojoe.com/action/8/ From 1987 Chuckles, Crystal Ball & Sneak Peak miss out. Renegades & Battle Force 2000 are single carded in 1990. Cobra-La not distributed in the UK 1990 is the rest of the US 1988 toys www.yojoe.com/action/88/ we get the entire standard US 88 range over the two years. We don't get Night Force. From Tigerforce we miss out on Flint, Dusty & Bazooka, all of which's original versions were out in 1988. We get Duke, Roadblack & Tripwire, who've not been in the 1987+ Action Force line, Lifeline who has, and new Tigerforce members Outback & Psyche Out not available in the US 1991 all the main US 89 lineup. www.yojoe.com/action/89/ Marauders Lowlight, recoloured Marauders Spirit and Mutt, all of whose originals are missing in the 1987+ Action Force line. No Python Patrol, No Nightforce. The two added Tiger Force figures Outback & Psyche Out mare carried forward and are joined by new figures Blizzard, Hit n Run, Sneak Peak (UK debut for the character) and Tunnel Rat all of which aren't in the US Tigerforce 1992 all of US 90 www.yojoe.com/action/90/1993 is the US 91 line up www.yojoe.com/action/91/ These introduce new missile launching accessories and some of these appear recoloured with carried over US 1990 figures 1994 is the US 92 line up minus the DEF figures. www.yojoe.com/action/92/1994 appears to be the last of the regular UK/Euro GI Joes though I know fro 1993 we got Mega Marines and Steel Brigade, probably during 1994. I know US 92's Ninja Force came out here but I don't think 93's did. I've got cardback and catalogue scans to support most of this
