Morning!
Early start to the week as the German farmer protests are kicking into high gear today and there is a parade of tractors on their way into central Berlin honking their horns a couple of streets away. No idea how everyone else here are still sound asleep.
On the plus side when I looked out the window I got to see a couple of fox cubs playing in the street, which was cute.

Used very few days annual leave in the last nine months (I worked a lot of long days, and then took days or half-days off using flexi-hours rather than annual leave), so I'm two and a half months from the end of my leave year with a full year's worth of leave still to take or carry over. But I need a proper break having recently completed some big pieces of work, so basically - as I forewarned my bosses six months ago - I'm taking February off.

So far my plans for my month off include reading a few books (including Patrick Stewart's) and seeing a few films. There will be at least one London trip.
It's a work in progress.

Afternoon All!
It's Tuesday
Yesterday: Safely in Kingston. FABULOUS meal out in evening. Thai Elephant in Richmond with University friends and saw my brother Mark when he got home from work.
Today: Got up a little late, been into Kingston to take care of a few things but run too late to do lunch in Kew. That may have to be tomorrow. Rest the rest of the day, was LOVELY out there in the sun - cold, dry and no wind - but I am shattered after 3 hours out and having been up in the night.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Morning All!
It's Wednesday
Yesterday: Got up a little late, having been awake for a bit in the night. Went into Kingston to take care of a few things but ran too late to do lunch in Kew. Was LOVELY out there in the sun - cold, dry and no wind - but I was shattered after 3 hours out, and my tummy "could have been better" afternoon and evening.
Today: Think I need to rest daytime before out this evening for a meal with Louise.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Wander down into town this morning, put some cheques in the bank, and have the bank teller try to persuade me to change my savings account and ISA (clearly they are on a mandate to push the new savings account, as I heard the next teller along trying to do the same to another customer, using the exact same words).
Took a detour via HMV (failed to find a copy of Prey, I am trying to avoid purchasing in from Amazon if I possibly can). Then walked out to Delapre Abbey for coffee and cake. The back to the flat for a late lunch and a ponder of the next step in my "Karl has too much stuff, time for lots of things to go" plan.
Now I await the oven heating up so I can put Bean Burgers in it for my dinner.

I was feeling a bit "merph" this afternoon. You know, that moment when you aren't sad or depressed but everything is just "eh".
Decided to take a risk on one of the remaining films I need to clear out of my Amazon Prime queue, and it seems to have done the job of righting my mood.
I have also decided that I am calling the process of watching out my Prime stuff "Operation:2005" - because when I get to the end of the month, and it comes time to press the "cancel" button I plan to declare "It's over, Prime!" and then hit the button...
Look, I have to take my amusement where I can these days, leave me to my joy...

I'm making the most of my latest free month trial of Prime. Having finished 'Reacher' season 2 yesterday, I dozed during 'Totally Killer' and 'Role Play' today. Thinking of everyone who's feeling under the weather. Martin
