The Fallen is one of the original 13. He, along with Vector Prime, were the first two created with Liege Maximo and the Last Autobot retconned in, followed by Nexus Maximus Prime. At least that's my memory of events. Though Last Autobot has since been dropped from the lineup and The Fallen has been stupidly renamed (mind you, I don't think giving him a name is stupid, just the BS one they chose. Almost as stupid as making Optimus Prime and Alpha Trion members of the 13.
The 13 never particularly interested me to begin with, but Aligned ran the concept into the ground and completely destroyed anything I found even remotely interesting about it. And IDW's attempts to salvage is by Hasbro forcing it on them only made it worse for me.

Pinwig arrives late to the party after a hard week to be slightly underwhelmed by proceedings. Legacy wave five and a few other sundries?

On the plus side, them running late meant that I had the Scraplet in bed before the stream started. On the down side, that was a stream that could've been an email. The guys did their best as usual, but were hampered by being left until last and having to rush everything, and not having much to show anyway - since I assume they're saving it all for Tuesday. Or New York Toy Fair in October. Which makes the whole PulseCon thing pretty pointless.

For Transformers, possibly. But it's meant to be a Hasbro wide event to try and get you to buy other lines other than the one you're interested in.
One thing it did make me realise is how much better than the other guys the TF team are! Joes next, then a toss up between SW and Marvel. The gaming lot were speaking a different language
Much more compact this year but it needed a tiny bit more space. Joes & TF having to cut planned pipeline reveals wasn't great. Loose the quiz questions would have been good but they were there to try to hook people to stay to see (and buy) everything
But as you said TFDay next week, NYCC round the corner and I'm assuming there's a 1027 too?

Fair point. I didn't get on in time to see the other teams, but I did see that stop motion animation that the Marvel team did - that was fun.

1027 is the Devastator reveal, if I heard it correctly on the stream.
I was sad there weren't any musical hostages this time.

American dates - 27th Oct. It seems to be how they announce events these days.

Ah! I'm used to the weird American date order. I have to convert Month-day-year into sensible dates quite often at work. But I'd not see it given as a single number before - without a /,| or - in it as denominated. It confused me and I read it as being "a One Thousand Twenty Seven"...
Thank you!

1027 is both October 27th and the street number of the Hasbro offices. It's why they do things on that day

From all accounts that was a meeting that didn't even need to be an e-mail. Because we'd already had the e-mail months ago.

The Three Zero product 'revealed' has been available in the market for quite some time. I've been tempted by the anime colour Optimus before but have been waiting on a sale.
Transformers Day was a bit...pish. The very definition of a non-event!

Yes, because that worked so well for their Star Wars Retro line* (it didn't). We shall see.

*A stunning example of how to take a successful line that had reach outside of the usual customer base and then...launched it off a cliff.

Oh, I'm only speculating as to what the news might be. I'd agree that it probably wouldn't be a great move, but in fairness Hasbro have been doing an excellent job of exploding their franchises in recent years. Heck, they went to the trouble of spending money to buy Power Rangers with no apparent plan other than running it full-tilt into the ground so...who knows...

It is amazing how throughly they managed to tank Star Wars in recent times. Your evergreen toyline is now...barely to be found in stores.
And yes, it takes talent to kill off Power Rangers!

Ah Power Rangers. The ultimate kid franchise! Goofy live action show with silly costumes, bad acting, campy giant mechs fighting stupid monsters, and EXPLOSIONS. And a matching toyline that's full of colorful action figures and mechs that transforms and combine in all sorts of ways.
So what does Hasbro do? Hasbro, the company who defined robots that transform and combine, and set a standard that no other company can reach? What do they do? They kill the show, and refocus the toyline almost exclusively to adults, as well as focusing almost exclusively on the 30 year old segments, with no interest in creating new fans.
Excellent work, everyone! We can all go home now!
But of course, they can't figure out that in order for GI Joe to exist, it needs to adapt its formula to work now. In a world where people are sick of war and kids are rightfully terrified of guns and gun violence.
GI Joe Renegades proved that Joe is a very adaptable and resilient concept, and it can get away from the war themes of ARAH, and still work. But instead of using that as a blueprint going forward, Hasbro treats it like the child in the attic who must never be spoken of, and instead keeps trying to throw more franchises into it while remaking the same shit over and over.

True, but they wouldn't have made many of those even if they had. Given their almost monomaniacal focus on the early years of the show they would probably have left a huge number of the Sentai mecha they could have made lying on the floor in favour of focusing almost exclusively on the Zyuranger and Dairanger mecha. So I'm not sure whether that would have actually done more than delay the inevitable there.
