Oh, nice! I have a huge soft spot for Amalgam, there's some genuinely good stuff in there.
I collected quite a few of the individual issues via comic fairs in the 2000s, but a collection or two could be nice.

No JLA/Avengers, so I expect that will get a solo release.
And none of the Marvel/Wildstorm, but would be nice to see a new TPB of X-Men/Wildcats, or the Heroes Reborn issue #13s.

Yes. I am still annoyed the Heroes Reborn #13's weren't in the big Omnibus.
Not interested in the Amalgam Omnibus but the other one piques my interest.

No JLA/Avengers, so I expect that will get a solo release. I'd been wondering if they'd even do this after they made such a big thing out of the recent highly limited re-release. For my own sake I hope they do, but I can imagine they might want to hold off on it given some people paid quite a lot for it in the not so distant past.

I think I'm in for both of these omnibi, but especially the non-Amalgam one as I don't think I have or even have read anything from it.

The HR#13 stuff was Marvel Image crossover like the Wildcats Xmen stuff. Before DC got Wildstorm.

For my own sake I hope they do, but I can imagine they might want to hold off on it given some people paid quite a lot for it in the not so distant past. It was a rush job to raise money due to the passing of George Perez, likely they didn't finalise as much detail as they would have liked so limited the print run. That people paid over the odds for it was their own choice and not an issue for the publishers. The HR#13 stuff was Marvel Image crossover like the Wildcats Xmen stuff. Before DC got Wildstorm. No, Image were just the publisher at that point in time, they retain zero ownership. The crossover was between Marvel and Wildstorm and Wildstorm are now owned by DC, therefore fully valid for reprint if Marvel and DC want to reprint crossovers.

I would expect this would be just core Marvel & DC characters - so like if Malibu comics that Marvel bought (nightman ultraforce rune) had any DC crossovers?
George Perez is an amazing artist - you can see Alex Milne is trying to match at the number of characters per page

And only one batch of Amalgam comics.
So still scope for JLA v Avengers and the second Amalgam lot in a third and final omnibus.

I wonder if DC are putting in adverts for 2024 DC ongoing comics like how they did in the first run Amalgam comics, which they then had to pulp & reprint because it broke the agreement with Marvel. You are not allowed to advertise your own company comics in the 6 Amalgam comics.

I'm actually surprised that these were solicited with these included at all. I'd have thought they'd have caught and fixed this much earlier in the pipeline. Regardless, they've fixed it now, and it is the correct decision.
Karl.

DC have reprinted some of his scripted issues of Justice League Europe in the JLI omnibus, with more to come in vol.3 out this year. I'm wondering if Marvel said no to these being included.

Wouldn't surprise. Would just take a slow news day for it to become reputationally bad for Marvel.
