What kind of name is Wreck-Gar anyway?? Wreck what? Didn't we do this in the poll thread? It's a bit of a play on words. Wreck-Gar/Wrecker

The only good Wreck-Gar toy is Curry-Gar. What kind of name is Wreck-Gar anyway?? Wreck what? What's a Gar? I can't believe I'm hearing this question. What sort of a He-Man fan are you?!

I thought it was just a shortening of Wreckage and Garbage, for whatever reason.

I thought it was just a shortening of Wreckage and Garbage, for whatever reason. Exactly. "Wreck" is shortned from Wreckage, while "Gar" is shortened from Garbage

That would make more sense than Phil's madness.

Exactly. "Wreck" is shortned from Wreckage, while "Gar" is shortened from Garbage I never thought of that! It makes sense now. I also had to be told that Kup was short for PicKUP truck. (And I suppose Nosecone is short for Picknose Coneage.) Edit: Corrected 'hort' to 'short'. Martin

I thought it was just a shortening of Wreckage and Garbage, for whatever reason. Huh. I never actually considered that second part, either. I guess they should've renamed him to Wreck-Rub for the UK. Although I will concede that I also don't disagree with Phil's original point either - it is both that portmanteau, and also a word that *could* be pronounced "wreckAR", so I think it works from both points of view.
