At last, the greatest NOW album of all time has been re-released and my re-issue of NOW 17 has arrived on shiny CD. Every track a winnner. Fond memories of the double cassette release back in the day on my Walkman player, background soundtrack to a school trip to Paris.

Faith No More - From Out of Nowhere is an absolute tune, but you can keep the rest. 1990 was not a good time in pop history.

Good lord, The Quireboys were big enough to get on a NOW?
Not the worst NOW I've seen, decent enough indie stuff.
I've long been of the opinion that musically, the 1980's kept going 'til about autumn 1991 though.

Killer and Loaded are still bangers, I’ll hear nothing said against them!
I didn’t know they reissued these. I hope this doesn’t awaken something in me

Sub Sub and Shabba Ranks! I think I had them all until around NOW 40 back in the day. NOW was always a mark of quality. -Ralph

Maybe. Certainly there's merit in having a record of what a certain year in pop sounded like.
Until they started putting them out two or three times a year, and then it was 'whatever's charted in the last couple of months'.
I do miss the charts meaning something though.

I know we had 1, 2 and 4 on LPs when I was a kid, whether they're still in Dad's record cabinet I don't know. He had a purge a while back.

Had 1 and 2 on cassette.
Remember the rival one to Now That's What I Call Music, The Hits?
