Got mine today.
See those Photos of Royal Holloway College, in the Dark Dimension article? That's where I was at University, 91-94. Yes when the thing was meant to be filmed.

My copy of Nothing at The End of the Lane arrived today. come the day of pay - the omnibus edition! Andy Mine arrived today. Looks good. -Ralph Read the article on LOST IN THE DARK DIMENSION. While there's nothing massively new here, it has a fuller story breakdown than previous articles with more input from some of those involved than previous reports about it. Which really just confirms my previous belief that it was a turd of a script/story worked on by well intentioned folk who really didn't know what they were doing. Some things just don't get made for a good reason. The main new fact I did learn though was that Lord Tom was paid for it anyway! -Ralph

Got my Nothing at the End of the Lane. Brillant BRILLIANT stuff!
I found the Dark Dimension article interesting. It does seem more and more that the people working on it at Enterprise were more 'playing' television producers rather than knowing what they were doing. Mind, they did have Graham Harper supporting the project which lends it much more status in my eyes.
Interesting to read that the scuppering came when one of the guys in charge realised he'd totally messed up the budget. How on earth could something like that happen!
It's telling that the budget is what scuppered it. A more pragmatic view would be 'just write a more suitable script!' Surely the lesson we learn from Classic Who is that the script is king, not the special effects, yet so many of the interviews talk of the need to add flashy visuals to support the script, and awful 90s versions of the monsters with blades and stuff. Oh dear.
It does sound very 90s doesn't it.

My copy of Nothing at The End of the Lane arrived today. come the day of pay - the omnibus edition! Andy This might be useful then: if you want the Omnibus or Scriptbooks then Lulu have 30% off with the code SHELFSTOCKER305

Not long: According to Mr Bignell himself If anyone is interested in getting the Issue 1 & 2 Omnibus reprint or the scriptbooks of Farewell Great Macedon and The Prison in Space, Lulu currently have a 30% off code that can be used until the end of January 31st.
The code is SHELFSTOCKER305. I've already got the Omnibus and the Prison in Space books (Prison is worth it for the Pixley article alone which shows just how S6 goes Tango Ultra on the script front) and ordered the Macedon book this time round.

Hmmm as someone who has none of them, which do you suggest I go for?
I have Farewell Great Macedon as the Big Finish version but did love it so much I might want the scriptbook too.

No.
Burns does not have money for anymore NATEOFL stuff right now, having overspent on digital comics.

Just ordered Nothing at The End of the Lane#3. Tempted by the Prison in Space scriptbook, because having seen it I know it is a nice production, and by the omnibus. I shall have to have a think because the budget does not allow for both this paycycle.

I think the Omnibus is the better publication but your mileage may vary.
Farewell Great Macedon arrived today.

My logic was that I plan to get the Big Finish Prison in Space at some point, and I already have the audio of Farewell Great Macedon, so the Omnibus gives me more bang for my buck.
I do intend on getting both scriptbooks eventually though.

You'll enjoy it. For my money Issue 3 was the weakest ofd the three issues so far, but some of the material in the first two has since been superseded.

I would agree, but it's still damned good.
I will pick up the Omnibus and Script Books in due course, but not until after I renew my BF subs in the next month or two.

Been reading my copy of Nothing at the End of the Lane ish 3.
It does confirm that we dodged a bullet somewhat by not getting The Dark Dimension though. Good to see such comprehensive coverage of it, but I think it is probably a good thing on balance that it wasn't made.
