It's the Nelvana feature that has caught my eye. -Ralph And ordered, along with a #4 when I realised I didn't have one of them. -Ralph Still waiting on mine, which is irritating when I pre-order it and see many have arrived but hey ho. Looking forward to it. -Ralph

Is it a covers thing maybe? But then I'd reckon on you going for the Ridgeway homage one?

Nay. Went for the Nelvana one.

Is that it then? Variant covers not printed yet?

No, they will all have been done at the same time, just postal issues - and the Nelvana one has sold out, think it's only the Ridgway homage that's left.

Is that it then? Variant covers not printed yet? I think, as per their FB, posting is done by just one guy. I imagine that takes a while if they got a lot of orders. -Ralph

I shall check that out.
Bumper day today as the 1988 Chronicles issues along with Vworp Vworp #4 and #5 thwacked through the letterbox.
The latter is missing the cd of the Nelvana script but that will get sorted.

Replacement CD turned up already. Great customer service.
VWORP VWORP #5 is outstanding. I had no idea about the earlier attempts to get a Dalek cartoon going. Then I realised I had completely forgotten that one was actually made and released in 2020.

Vworp Vworp 5 arrived the other day. Another standout magazine. I have now read #4 and feel there should be reprints of the TV Comic/Action/Countdown era. I've rarely paid them much attention but now I have read such a comprehensive guide I would be interested. -Ralph

Agreed. I have always wanted some nice hardback collections of those stories. I have good quality scans of all of them, but they need books. It's always puzzled me why that hasn't happened, given the BBC's desire to put out absolutely anything Doctor Who related. I wondered if there was some kind of rights issue that was preventing it.

Disappointed this evening. I enjoyed the first two issues of the relaunched DWAS TARDIS zine and in Feb bought #3 and 4 from DWAS's eBay store. They didn't arrive so I contacted them and they resent the issues, but these also haven't arrived. I've had no post go missing for as long as I can remember and the chances of two separate packets going missing, especially ones that would fit through the letterbox, seems phenomenally unlikely, so something must be wrong at their end. But they're not interested in helping to solve the problem, they just refunded me and implied the problem was at my end. I bought the first two issues by the same method without any problem a year or two back, so this has left me somewhat frustrated. eBay seems to be the only way they sell these issues, so I've now no idea how to get them.

Vworp Vworp magazine gets better and better. It's gone from comic retrospectives to their own original works.

It's a bit like trying to explain Telephone Operators to anyone under about 40 - mostly you get looked at like you are from another planet. (I mean, I am, but that is entirely coincidental!)

It gets worse when you try to explain what it was like before 'answer machines' and phones were chained to walls.

I run into this kind of thing quite a lot teaching kids. It's surprising sometimes what they have no knowledge of.

On the other hand, maybe it isn't that surprising. A lot of these things are no longer really a part of life - there isn't really a huge reason to know about obselete technology if it doesn't feature anywhere in ones life.
