Ten years since Devastator...
Blimey. That's... Disturbing.
These look good. People buying them will be very pleased. Scrapper is a small Voyager. Scrapper and Mixmaster look a bit stubby in their leg modes to me, throws the proportions off a little to my eye.
Be good to see a coloured version next to CW.
Devastator's going to be smaller than CW I reckon. I doubt he'll wobble as much, and individual figures will be better, but I do like my Devastators to be freakin' huge.

ILLEGAL REMINDER OF THE INEVITABLE PASSAGE OF TIME! They do look like they might be a little more articulated than the Combiner Wars Devastator, but they don't look like enough of an improvement to inspire me to buy this version and replace the Combiner Wars set. I did see a comparison suggesting that this Devastator will also be smaller than the CW version, which likewise doesn't work for me - I like my Devastators to be bigger than the other combiners. Just because. What is slightly disappointing is how hollow the arms and legs appear to be. Which was also the case with the Combiner Wars figures, but I'd have been hoping for an improvement here...

Looks like the Studio Series Backdrops and numbering are gone. I had a suspicion about the later when I couldn't find them for the most recently announced SS TFOne toys

Backdrops were a waist of paper goods, money, and space. Glad they're finally gotten rid of.
But the numbering was unfortunately quite useful. Especially with so many different versions of the same character, often from the same movie.

ILLEGAL REMINDER OF THE INEVITABLE PASSAGE OF TIME! To clarify though,I brought up the passage of time since CW Devastator Don't forget UW is an improvement over CW in terms of articulation. And that that Devastator is TEN YEARS OLD NEXT YEAR That's just Ralph reacting to it. Badly. On an unrelated but related note, Jonathan is 18 2 weeks Friday.

Numbering would have been useful, and I would be surprised if Takara don't at least number their releases, but given that they recently managed to assign the same number to two different toys maybe it's a blessing in disguise...

These look quite good, and I'm glad they're releasing them individually and staggered. I do slightly prefer toy head to cartoon head where Devastator is concerned, but it was only ever going to be this way and it's fine.

Be good to see a coloured version next to CW. Digibash vs CW Ask, and Big Phil provides! Yeeeeaaahhh... He's nice but fairly squat. Almost disproportionately so. At this point I'm preferring ol' Wobblestator!

I can't guarantee they're comparable in size.
Won't know that till they're along side each other..... but we may be able to fudge something

They're not comparable in size. SS86 Dev is the same height as Legacy Menasor.
And geez, I'd forgotten CW Dev's knees are half way up his thigh.

Menasor, with SS86, from stream Menasor, with CW, found with a google search As Toph says Menasor and SS86 are c the same size

Never liked Devastator (or Omega Supreme, for that matter.) being the size of skyscrapers. This scale suits me much better than CW.

Predaking should be redone for the simple reason PotP Predacons are some of the worst modern toys ever made. Beast modes look terrible. Robot modes are terrible. Combined mode, which is the one saving grace, looks terrible. And it's so fragile, it will fall apart if a speck of dust falls on it.
It absolutely deserves a do-over. Far more so than Menasor did.

Surely there is only one true scale? There is only one true scale for Transformers characters- the one that's in my mind's eye. And don't call me Shirley.

Studio Series seems to be increasingly veering away from screen accuracy and it looks like the individual Constructicons will vary in that respect, but even though it's not much like the animation model, Devastator looks fab. I haven't got the CW version so look forward to this set. I admit to a little concern that we won't get them all released in the UK. Yes, Earthspark Nightshade, I'm looking at you. (I daren't order online, as there's no guarantee if it'll be the release with or without the build a figure parts.) But we had all the Stunticons and Core Dinobots, so I'm not overly concerned.

Woaw woaw woaw, 'T' out a sec' there, Champ'.
Not all the 86 Constructicons are being released in the UK?!?!
And all the releases have the build-a-figure parts, i.e., Devastator parts?!?!?!

I'm not buying them or anything, but that would be typical Hasbollocks shenanigans.
And I worry for you all.
