I suspect there'll be merchandise at first if not actual toys, with toys coming later if the shop's successful enough.

I just wonder if they will carry Exclusives. -Ralph The blurb says: there will be an exclusive, limited-edition cover of Skybound Entertainment’s award-winning Transformers comics available.Would be nice to have an exclusive figure, London LEGO store has an exclusive London bus set, so why not a bus Transformer? Also relatively easy for me to get to Battersea Power Station, so an exclusive figure would be good trade fodder to the Americas. |

ToysAreRuss (The Youtube Guy) has confirmed that he has been asked by Hasbro to represent them at the Store on opening day, so a great chance to meet him if you haven't already. Such a nice, down to earth Transformers collector and fan. Really can't understand why Hasbro are leaving it so late and have been sooooo cagey about revealing the opening date of the store. Since they announced it back in September it's always just said 'Opening in November' on all the websites, and to date (13 Nov) there's STILL no Official Opening Day announcement, although Russ did say when they give him the green light, he'll reveal it to us. I seem to recall somebody had a walk past the site of the store last month, or it may even have been towards the end of September, and they mentioned then that it was almost pretty much finished and just needed stocking. As long as I have at least a few days notice, I am going to go on opening day ... Just in case there's any freebies going, or opening day special offers  (Note to self: 'Special Offers' in London, will just be 'Normal Price Everywhere Else') Actually, now that I think about it, it's likely to be opening on Black Friday 29 November to maximise sales when there will be lots more shoppers at the Battersea Power Station Mall. |

Official... Transformers Battersea will be opening Wednesday 27th November.
(I was only 2 days out with my prediction)
Event Merchandising, in partnership with Hasbro, is bringing the world’s first standalone Transformers store to Battersea Power Station on Wednesday 27th November 2024.
