Morning All!
It's Thursday
Yesterday: Busy day, but mainly computer desk work. My payslip for this month went up, so I could see the annual increase on my PHI, do the 2025 budget spreadsheet and allocate the money for having two houses running bills alongside each other for a while. Finally managed to obey the action point in my diary to download some songs I heard at an event in the summer to use at the 8am Prayer Meetings. New digital Prog arrived, and I hadn't done the compilations from last week's Prog & Meg so that took some time and triggered some reordering. Cap Epic and Leader Soundwave arrived, happy with both. Good Homegroup. Jonathan finished college for half term.
Today: Letter to DWP needs doing, have a template I can use. Food order due. Liz here, there and everywhere! Plumber due at bungalow to fit bath.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

We are off to see Cinammon the capybara, which Mrs Ralph adopted. I have explained that the T&C's explicitly state that does not mean she *owns* the animal...

So, I had a series of meetings on Wednesday, and there are going to be quite a few changes in the organisation for which I work. But the unexpectedly good news is that my team is something of a still-point amidst it all. We, and several other teams in my service are not going to be changing ourselves - which means no alterations to my role, and perhaps more importantly, my role continues to exist and I will continue to fill it on my current hours, terms and conditions.
So there will be procedural changes, in terms of the way we communicate with other teams, and perhaps which other teams we communicate with. But fundamentally, we have escaped the worst of it and my employment will continue for the forseeable future.
After six months of total uncertainty it feels like the other shoe finally dropped and it was a soft, fluffy slipper instead of the Dr Marten's boot I was expecting.
It is taking a while to fully sink in, but I feel like I can breath properly for the first time since May.
I slept straight through the night without waking too. That hasn't happened for a while, and it was a nice change!

Celebrate by sending Martin to the the cinema! Why would I need to send Martin to the cinema? All the evidence suggests that he goes under his own power with admirable regularity. Karl

I actually have two Vue cinema vouchers expiring at the end of the month that I'm not going to get around to using. (I had six at the start of the year but have only used four, because in Cardiff I prefer Cineworld and only use Vue when I'm in London.) If you like I'll support Transformers One by using those vouchers to secure tickets for that film.
I'm not going to see it in the cinema, but I could use my vouchers to book the tickets and so help boost its box office ratings.

Please only use cinema vouchers...if you are going to see whatever film is booked. Or give the booked tickets to someone else.

Morning All!
It's Sunday - Praise The Lord!
Welcome to Greenwich Mean Time! Hope you all enjoyed your extra hour in bed!
(When does Haynes Mean Time start?)
Yesterday: Quiet day for the most part but all went OK. TF reveals from MCM with a bit of work when I realised I'd forgotten to do a related job for a year and a bit! Songs and slides done for today, nice time with friends on the TMUK Call. J & L did a bungalow trip and got me some photos.
8 Hours Sleep, Thank You Lord! Cannot remember the lst time I got that much Saturday/Sunday, even when the clocks changed!
Today: Church.
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

Naomi's body clock was unaffected by the clock change. She woke up at 5.30am. she and I looked across the dark and desolate landscape of Birmingham city centre from the 11th floor of our hotel.

That would be preferable to my view of Birmingham City Centre yesterday evening - from onboard a bus trapped amongst a mass of vehicles trying to inch around a roundabout that flowed like a hardened artery... :-)
