Theme: A fanzine looking at the localisation and quirks of various territories around the world. The weird little things that tends not to escape the country rather than the big franchises. Deadline: 30 April 2025 Format: Full colour
Submission guidelines: Fun and/or informative. Family friendly - there will be kids at the convention, so no articles full of swearing or violence! Stuff is cool! No excessive bashing please! If artwork, needs to be in colour. If text, a page is around 500 words (less if with pictures) Submissions should be 2-3 pages, but no max length, go wild if you want as long as it's good!
What is in scope: Anything that was a localisation in any territory, the more niche the better. Ladybird continuity Big looker books Argentinian stuff German comic magazin The original European stuff with Jetfire marketed as the leader Pickwick audio Jugger Morph Nezha
What is out of scope: The bigger more obvious stuff that everyone knows about: ie the Japanese transformer lines/cartoons. If in doubt, ask!

Something could probably be done with how TFUK has the Transformers encountering Action Force (including Wild Bill from Hull) in London rather than G.I. Joe in America, and how Wreck-Gar makes British TV references whenever he appears in Marvel UK stories (although there's one we shan't mention), not to mention the very British transmissions Starscream picks up when visiting the UK in the second TFUK annual. I guess I can try and write something around Nezha. No idea what mind you, but it is a minor obsession of mine, and given I utterly failed to do anything with the ideas I had for this year’s magazine due to general brain failure I figure I really should try and get something done for next year…
