Morning All!
It's Monday - 2024 Week 48
Yesterday: Made it into church but weather was causing spasms so we retired hurt early enough to be home to catch the entire sermon on Zoom. Billy Bookcase move was done but I didn't get down there. Damaged stairlift in the day, snapped emergency cord resetting it. A repair now isn't worth it with two weeks left here and numerous other things wrong with it. Couple more episodes off the Blake's 7 BFs in the evening and got into the MTU page of my Epic Maps spreadsheet when I realised my article didn't have a map in it!
Today: PAYDAY! Last one on my 2024 spreadsheet and last one here. Leading 8am and 10am. Home made noodle soup for lunch. Trip to bungalow late afternoon.
Move -14 days
Pray Day goes OK, Sinuses, CMT, tummy and Head cope OK. Pray I sleep well tonight, getting off to sleep promptly. Pray we stay protected from the virus.
Have a good day, stay safe & well.

SO, I looked at the thread title and it made me think... given that the purpose of Room 101 was to psychologically torture the prisoner sufficiently as to cause a psychotic break, allowing the party to restructure their personality into a docile, obedient believer in the party's tyranny, wouldn't it be truer to say that what happens in Room 101 remains with you forever?
Me, overanalyse things? That's unpossible! :-)
Starting the week with a morning off, as I am due down the road for vaccinations later on. Enjoyed having a lie-in until 8am, a rare thing to be able to take a cup of coffee back to bed on a weekday morning is a thing to be prized!

Me, overanalyse things? That's unpossible! :-) Karl has proceeded from a false assumption that the Room 101 of the title is the 1984 Room 101, instead of it's 2024 successor. Some of the survivors may be on later....

Ok, I just had to look that up - given that the Room 101 of 1984 was the only one I was aware of. Which, in fairness given that it predates this other thing by quite a while, and is the one that I have encountered far more often, doesn't surprise me.
I was reminded by doing so that a colleague told me about the other thing six or seven years ago when I was similarly confused by him suggesting that I send a supplier of ours to Room 101...
Apparently that conversation didn't make a huge impression on me at the time though.

The 2024 Room 101 is the one the majority of TeamFu spent Friday night in.

Back from being vaccinated. In both my arms, antiviral cells are facing off with apparent footsoldiers of a different viral invasion. It is like a Sentai team-up movie in there right now - lots of white blood cells doing their transformation sequences and diving in to get stuck into a fight, title songs playing one after another, pyro going off. (Trust me, given what the flu vaccination normally does to me I can expect things to get warm in there). Karl

Karl 4 FUers. One room. A double, a single and an air bed. Put the usual fun and games on top of that. Ralph, who was elsewhere same hotel, AndyK and Matt may be able to illustrate our story for us

Assorted stuff.
Sounds like everyone who went to TFN Reading had a blast! Hope the journey home in light of the weather is a safe un' for those on the way back.
If anyone recieves a Facebook friend request from a "Hero KF II", that is legit me. To cut a story short, my original account was hacked over the summer and FB admin have not been too helpful when trying to retrieve it. I'm still a little sore over it as it was a 18 year old online scrapbook of great memories. Back your data up folks.
Santa season has kicked off too.
I'm managing life despite not being at 100%. Christmas is a great motivator.

It was a shock after the consistent shitness of Hilton Brum to actually have a hassle-free stay at a hotel for an event again. -Ralph I can imagine! I'm having a mixed evening this evening - the battle between Antiviral Sentai Leucoranger and the vaccinations continues apace - with a consequence that I feel just generally run-down (it's all the 'splosions going on. I think they may have moved onto the giant mecha battle stage of things. I hope so - that should traditionally mean that this episode is reaching a conclusion). Only the shoulder I had the flu vaccine in is particularly sore - the COVID-19 shoulder is just a little bruised. Which interestingly reflects how sore the initial injections were. The flu was definitely more painful than the other. Which according to the pharmacists is what most people are experiencing - which she and I both thought was weird. It is the same procedure in each arm after all! Ah well, give it a couple of weeks for these to bed in and I will be back to my levels of resistance from this time last year. Which will be nice. Karl
