A musical comedy webcast show put on by Joss Whedon (of Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Serenity fame) and friends. Could be great, could be terrible, but it's up to watch for free on-line next week so probably worth a watch. It certainly seems different enough to warrant some attention. It will be up here: www.drhorrible.com/Additional info: doctorhorrible.net/about/-Ralph

Woohoo! Anything that reunited Fillion and Whedon is my must see of the month.

I may give it a go come next week. It'll either be great, ho-hum or absolutely terrible. But I may take the chance on it just to see how it comes out.

Just watched part 1. It really is one of those love-it-or-hate-it things. I wasn't sure at first but it grew on me by the end.
May have to refresh the web page a few times. First couple of times I got a 'this content is not available here' message, then it worked fine.

Quite enjoyed parts 2-3. Not bad at all, though an aquired taste I reckon. Free viewing finishes tomorrow. You need to refresh the page twice before videos work.

First Act I wasn't entirely sure about, but works better when seen straight before Act II. Quite enjoying it so far, but I can see how it isn't going to be to everyones taste - a C-List Supervillian musical isn't something that is easy to explain.
Good, quirky stuff. On to Act III I go.

It's worth perservering with just for Captain Hammer's song about the homeless, if nothing else.

I actually really enjoyed it, being a big fan of Fillion helped a lot - but yeah it was pretty funny.

I have a lot of time for Nathan Fillon, I was pleased that he was in the cast for this - after all he had proved on "Firefly" that he could do quite a good line in funny. I have to say that I think Harris stole the show though. In fairness Fillon tried his darndest to pinch it back but Harris was the headlining star after all so it was to be expected. (Actually I was suprised by Harris, I knew he had matured to be a competent actor but still he as a lot better than I had thought he would be.)
Captain Hammer's song about the homeless is a classic though.
Karl (Thinking that he might well buy this if it gets the hoped for DVD distribution)

One of the ideas being floated for the DVD is a commentary track which in itself will be done in song, with new songs and all. I do hope that comes off.
It's got quite a clever model for release, this. Stick it up for free for a few days, then pull it. Leave it on iTunes in the meantime and make a few quid of that. With a DVD to follow for those who missed the free showing and are intrigued by the buzz or who don't want to use iTunes. It's an interesting model and I'll be curious how it plays out. Whedon has got the fanbase to pull this off (the server crashed on day 1 when 1000 viewers tried to log on at the same second), so we're not quite at the stage of anybody in their spare time pulling off internet shows so successfully, but one to watch.
Give it a few years. We could be looking at the proper infancy of a new model of TV distribution here.
