I thought Gary Oldman was by far the best in this film. Excellent performance.

Fuck it, we all know Heath Ledger was amazing...and no amount of the media over-hyping it is going to make me change my mind.

Some very good acting in this film, but I thought that Ledger's performance just edged out Oldman. Maggie G was infinitely better than thingy Mrs Cruise, on a side note she's aged more than most Holywood types tend to in the years since Donnie D, but she still looked fit as. The only weak performance was Bale, which really surprised me - maybe it's the way they've taken the character, but there was no variety in his acting at all.

I'd have to give this to Aaron Eckhart to be honest. Not that I felt anyone was actually bad, indeed it is difficult to pick out a single best performance from the pack to be honest because they were all operating at such a high level.
Eckhart's part demands the broadest range of any of them I would say. He has the longest emotional journey to go on in the film and therefore has the most work to do to bring the audience along with him, something he succeeds brilliantly in doing I feel. I'd have to give it to him by a hair - but it is a difficult distinction to award in a film with a cast that are all operating on a very high level.
