Hi everyone! Just a quick reminder about the AA2009 questionnaire that was in everyone's packs last weekend... Well, I've just done an online version of it now with a few extra tweaks and questions so if you haven't already completed it or if you want to do the extra version, you can find it here:- www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=DkIO_2b1E485TJD6KbOum8Mg_3d_3dThe free family ticket prize draw still applies and you can enter and do the questionnaire even if you didn't attend AA this year! Cheers, Simon

Yeah, already had your replies. I'll be taking those into consideration as well as the online ones but I've added some extra questions to the online one which take into consideration a few extra things that were raised afterwards that I thought I needed to add! lol
I think the paper one wasn't finished until about 3 days before AA so it was a rush getting them printed and stuffed into the envelopes!

That's just the tip of the iceberg... I soooooo wish I could tell you everything we're planning! All I will say is that the first voice actor I'm hoping to confirm soon is going to be involved in the WHOLE weekend including the Saturday evening even though their Q&A session will only take place on one of the days, and the same will apply for the other one. Also I'm going to try to make sure that there will be something taking place apart from Q&A sessions/panels/autographs every day involving some of the guests. Just hope I can find a venue that can cope!

Simon, I take it that you are also interested in the opinions of those of us who are planning to come next year but didn't make this?

Yeah Karl, it's open to anyone - we just want to try to make AA2009 the type of convention that everyone really want to attend to make it the best EVER convention that Europe has ever seen! ;D

I enjoyed this years AA and I thought that it couldn't get any better. If next years convention is going to be better still then count me in as an attendee.

Just wanted to thank everyone who's replied to the survey so far - we've had a LOT of responses and it's looking good and we've had some VERY useful comments left as well and we're talking a lot of comments/ideas/suggestions on board and there are a few GREAT ideas that I'm going to look into trying to do... ... and I'm sure one or two people on here might be able to guess what idea(s) they might be although if we do go ahead with it I might need a few volunteers to make it happen on the day/weekend!!

I think Quasar / Laser Tag would be a good idea.

You put that on your form, didn't you? -Ralph Sadly, no, but I don't mind proposing it as long as I don't have to do it. I just hope nobody suggested a Spike-based Full Monty.

I think Quasar / Laser Tag would be a good idea. Sadly all of the ones in Birmingham have closed down now... saying that one was pretty crap (the first one to close), one had staff that were, ummm, less than helpful although it was a MASSIVE arena split over a couple of floors in an industrial-style setting and the third was in the back of an arcade which was the best and cheapest! ;D

If the late-night screening of TF2 (or TF:ROTF as we must apparently now call it) comes off, might I recommend the Electric cinema, near New Street station? A very cool independent cinema... And it sells beer.

Anything that sells beer gets the thumbs up from me.

We've had a fantastic response to the paper and online surveys we've been running for Auto Assembly 2009 to help us make next year's Auto Assembly convention the biggest and best Transformers convention EVER that Europe has ever seen, but if you haven't already completed the survey, you've still got time! The closing date for the survey is the end of September 2008 and everyone who completes the survey and gives us their details will be entered into a FREE draw to win a family ticket to Auto Assembly 2009!! Even if you didn't attend Auto Assembly 2008 - or even if you've never attended an Auto Assembly event before - we still want to hear your views, and we'd love to hear from those of you who live outside of the UK who are considering attending in the 25th anniversary year next year. Don't forget that EVERY vote counts in this survey! We will be taking all of your responses into consideration in planning for next year, as well as all of the additional comments you may make and we've already had some wonderful ideas come forward and some VERY useful comments that we will be taking on board for next time so those of you who have already responded have started to shape Auto Assembly 2009! You can find the survey here:- www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=DkIO_2b1E485TJD6KbOum8Mg_3d_3dOnce the survey closes, we'll publish the results and produce a follow-up survey to go into more detail about the convention itself based on the decisions we reach and find out EXACTLY what you want from the convention! Thanks in advance and we hope to see many of you there next year!
