I voted buying toys, meeting up and checking out as the most looked forward to.
I shall have to add an extra option for myself (which I daresay Jon is also looking forward to) and that's selling toys to fans.

For me, a lot of it is that is an event, something to get you out of the house that weekend. And there's meeting up with everyone, which is always cool.

Clearly unacceptable, and a balance that had to be redressed.
Of course, for me the main motivation behind going to conventions is the social bit - it is always good to see folk, both folk I already know and folk I have yet to meet in person. The best bit of conventions is meeting people and doing people-watching. The rest is various flavours of secondary consideration for me.
