Scotcon availability update! I have managed to negotiate a Saturday off! In return, I just have to work... tomorrow.
I'd better get to bed.

Has anyone who gave me their mobile numbers last year changed them in the intervening period? If so, can you please PM me the new ones in case of problems? (Though I've never needed to use 'em before.)
Want me to bring a sleeping bag? I don't have a legal right to Karl's spare bed, you know.

I was kind of leaving it up to you three to decide who slept where. There is one spare bed, a folding matress and a spare duvet, sheet etc to go with it, and a couple of sofas downstairs that can be slept on or the cushions grabbed for use on the floor.
I do have a sleeping bag or two in the airing cupboard as well which can be dragged out in a pinch. I shall also be digging out the blankets as well as it is decidely chilly at the moment so they might be handy for folk.
As to who sleeps where I don't have too much of a vested interest. I'm sure you good chaps will be able to come to some amicable agreement on that score.
Also, good to hear that you will be around to join us on the Saturday!

I'm sure we can decide on the day, but I will bring my sleeping bag with me anyway, looked it out last week and made sure it was still in good order.

Sorry to be a bit dense boys, but what is the plan for whereabouts of the group on these fateful days?

Well, I am supposed to arrive Glasgow Central 3.25 on Friday, but I'm not expecting to be met straight away as I'm sure others will still be at work at that time.
If you have a couple of sleeping bags, Karl, then I won't lug mine up, and will devote my luggage capacity to extra warm clothing. But do let me know before Friday if you think we'll be short on that front.

I'll be through in Glas Vegas on Friday to meet you Martin.
I'd imagine on Friday we will be housed in the Crystal Palace unless someone has a better idea.

I have realised that band practice has been scheduled for that fateful evening. I will attempt to reschedule in favour of the Hub. Karl! Remember those Predacons!

Karl! Remember those Predacons! As to the plans, I will also be around in Glasgow on the Friday to meet Martin from the train - I have taken the day off anyway as I had some holiday to spare. We will likely, as Andy says be ensconsed in the Crystal Palace by the evening. Where the Predacon Trio will also await you. (They have been safely held in protective custody awaiting an opportunity to carry out the exchange. As to the Saturday I don't think the plan has been entirely nailed down as yet, but I am assuming we will be in Glasvegas somewhere for banter and what-not. And at some stage Nick will likely torment us with the Quiz of Doom - which combines the joy of winning prizes with the agony of wracking the brain trying to answer some of the truly evil questions. Hopefully you will be able to join us for some of the festivities on the Saturday - probably best to stay in touch by mobile telephonic device during the weekend so as to co-ordinate I would suggest. Martin - I shall have a check to verify the presence of the sleeping bags, but I think we should be alright between a sleeping bafg, spare duvet and some blankets stashed away in the airing cupboard. (I come from a family that believes in keeping a supply of warm stuff against eventualities). Karl

I've had a quick check of the bedding situation - I have a duvet for the spare bed, a couple of duvets and two sleeping bags for those sleeping downstairs. So I think we are fairly well sorted out as far as that goes. There are only five pillows in the house but I figure that will work out ok between four folk.

I have a very very small amount of cash (funds expected have not arrived), enough to get me to Falkirk and back and that's about it. So if I make it (still a bit lurgied up) the drinks, er, aren't on me. Nor indeed is dinner.
Hopefully, though, this means that on Friday night (once Nick has joined us) the secret Scotcon game, THE YOMTOV FACTOR, shall be deployed. Dare you test your wits and skill against the living embodyment of Nel Tomtov himself? Can you survive his terrible judgement? Will you make it to the final round for the chance to win a Slightly Fabulous Prize?
Dare! Dare to believe you can survive!

So if I make it (still a bit lurgied up) Fie on your doubts and excuses! Not a problem. Yes. I suspect so. As the Magic 8-Ball might say, "DON'T BET ON IT". Martin

Needless to say I doubt it will be as difficult as Nick's quiz.

I hope you will beat the space lurgy down enough that you will be able to join us Ralph and as Andy says, you don't need to worry on the drinks front.
I for one shall shiver in mild fear of what awesomeness the Yomtov Factor might hold until its might is revealed.
