I am not sure if this would be the right forum to ask, but I was wondering if anyone on the Hub, has bought a JVC camera in the past which has suffered from the CCD image sensor error? If so how long did it take for JVC to repair the camcorder and return it?
Even if you don't have proof of purchase, or the guarantee has expired, JVC are repairing the camcorders for free until December. JVC arranged for TNT Express Services to pick up my camcorder on Friday.

Just though I would update this, incase anyone else has a faulty camcorder that maybe effected by this problem.
I got my camcorder back today, exactly a week after it was picked up, and now for the first time in well over a year it now works. JVC have replaced the faulty part without a guarantee or proof of purchase. With so many camcorders suffering from this fault, that's the way it should be.
It was a pleasant surprise to have something repaired for free in that amount of time, that didn't cost me a penny in delivery either to or from JVC, adn with no hassle what so ever. Great service.

Hats off to JVC for doing things how they should be done.

At least there's one company that knows how to treat its customers right.
