You should try and get some extras work on Nativity 2, currentley filming in Wales . Then you could say you've worked with David Tennant. Looking forward to next weeks Merlin and the return of a familiar character or two. ===KEN

I'm afraid tonight's episode is the last I shall be watching. I've lost patience with the series. The traditional story of Guinevere and Lancelot's betrayal of King Arthur is a powerful tale of human weakness. The makers of BBC Merlin have chickened out of it completely by having both Guinevere and Lancelot be under the control of evil magic at the time of their adultery. They obviously do not think the audience can cope with normally good characters doing bad things because they are human and thus imperfect and capable of both good and bad. How dull, and insulting to the viewers - even worse than replacing the Holy Grail with a magic cup to avoid any hint of religion in the series. It irritates me enormously.
Curiously though, Agravaine seems to be the one to show Arthur their treachery in so many versions of the legend. In Malory's 'Le Morte d'Arthur', where he is a mixed good/bad character, in 'First Knight', where he is a loyal knight, and in BBC Merlin, where he is an all-round villain, he's the one at Arthur's side when he observes their adultery. Ho hum! Martin

Got to say, that was pretty poor. It seemed very rushed too.

If that was meant to be the first of a two-part season finale, it did'nt feel like it.
Least favorite episode of the bunch. And yes, I also don't approve of the 'Cup of Life' stuff either. The term Holy Grail is also used in other analogies than just a religious term.
That bracelet was basically a jazzed up 'Kryptonite Ring' another reused Smallville cliche.

Wow. 13 episodes instead of the informed 10.

Boring ep this week. At least the 2-part finale looks set to be a real stunner. Sword in the Stone!

Season 5 has not been that bad thus far. It could do with perking up a bit though.

Season 5 has not been that bad thus far. It could do with perking up a bit though. It's same old, same old. Still decently fun and entertaining, but my god, it's such a 'samey' show. Even when the status quo changes, it's STILL THE SAME

I agree.
Season 5 is meant to be set 3 years after the events of Season 4, but (aside from an older Mortdred) nothing has changed.

Well that was a bit sh*t wasn't it?
I enjoyed how everyone took extra doses of Stupid Pills for the finale.
