Didn't notice a SOC thread, so decided to start one. Am now awaiting arrival of God Mars and Dancouga. Next in line will be EVA-01 renewal Soc-Spec... Have in my posession a Getter Robo Soc. am generally in awe of this line.... Yamato are better, insofar as transforming technology goes, but Bandai seems to be the overall best in terms of covering all the bases (durability, die-cast metal, great mold, accuracy, detail)... Yamato would win if not for the plague of QC - although that has presumably been "taken care of"... over a ten year time span Anyways - anyone else collecting these? Pete

Nick used to have the reissue Dancouga and I had a play with it. Very nice toy, good weight to it.

One of the great things about SOC is that you get an appreciation for where so many of the various ideas behind Transformers came from. Dancouga - for example - is - if you consider it - a Gestalt Headmaster composed of a team of Triple-Changers God Mars is a Brainmaster... And on it goes... So many concepts and ideas that found their way into TF had their origin here - and it's really good to get these revitalized 70s marvels in figure form Pete
