Argh, how am i going to explain getting Animated Leader Megatron to the missus?

Merely explain that it is based on 'Super Megatron' from the arse end of the Japanese stories based on the original line and that this makes it Completely Amazing. Plus! You can use the rotors to whip up cream for coffee and the like.

And if that doesn't work, you could just say to yourself, "ah, sod it" and activate his Supermarionation evil laugh in her face.

Buy it. Wrap it up. Put it under the tree with no "from" name. When you open it up, feign ignorance as to how it got there, possibly accusing her of buying it for you. In the end you'll both agree to blame Santa.

Smyths is apparently selling Roll Out Command Prime for £20, according to a guy on TW2005.
Is he worth it though? Anyone have him?

Don't have one (bit pricey when other Animated Prime's are available). It looks like a very big chunky Action Master, to my eyes, so £20 sounds fair.

He transforms though!
He looks very 'kiddy'. And yes, I know it is a kids line. That is saying something!

The main problem with Roll Out Command Optimus, in my opinion, is that he is so totally out of scale with the other Animated toys. Okay, so scale has never really been a major part of Transformers, but the Animated toys do generally go well together.
At full price, he's probably not really worth it - he doesn't have much in the way of features and there are better versions at lower price points. At £20 he's probably worth a pop, depending on your completist tendencies and your budget.

Cheers guys. I can't help but feel £20 would be better spent on buying Animated Starscream instead....

Woolworths has now dropped its toys to 30% off. Ironically, my branch has now had Swoop and Sentinel Prime for the first time.

The sad remains of Woolies had Wave 1 Universe Legends figures at £1.05. Very downheartened to see the local store had put up polite 'please do not verbally or physically abuse the staff' notices at the entrance. Sigh.
TJ Hughes have knocked another fiver off Animated Leader Bulkhead and Megatron: now £25.

Argos have reduced Animated Leader Bulkhead to £30 and Animated Supreme Optimus Prime to £40, until 24th December.

Anyone found any post-Christmas sales?
I spotted a few of the older 3" Transformer titanium figures for £2 each in Wilkinsons and Amazon are doing some good deals on Animated figures for less than £7 at the moment.

No ita sll a bit quiet. I'm just waiting for Tesco to half price the Rachet and Lockdown with legends sets.
Oh Sainsbury are doing the Universe ultras at half price but as they charge £26 to start with I still cant bring myself to buy them. I think I'll just wait till I ca nafford the japanese versions. I was a bit tempted by Stormcloud though.

You mean Sainsburys have Storm Cloud for £13???
That'll have to be got.
I have Onslaught (mandatory purchase) and Powerglide (totally crap looking toy).
Smyths are having a sale, Roll Out Command Prime didn't tempt me for £20, but the Decepticon Sneak Attack Robot Heroes set for £6.99 got me! Lot of movie Voyagers at half price too.

Cool.
I'm undecided about Powerglide - the US/UK version makes me think of Energon/Cybertron Jetfire and the Henkei version just looks dull and uninteresting. My life is full of difficult decisions.

Yeah I should be more excited by the universe ultras but I'm not. Maybe a little burnt out plus if Im gonna Botcon I need the cash. The only one I will get is Darkwing.

ASDA have discounted Animated Supreme Optimus Prime again. It's now £24.45 so if you want one now is the time I suppose.

What's ordering through HLJ like?

How do you mean ? They're reliable, reasonable postage.... be careful not to order a pre order item with these though or it'll delay you're entire order.

I haven't had any problems with HLJ orders in the past.
Except the time my Galaxy Force Prime got mixed up with Joan Rivers. She swore like a trooper, smoked several cigarettes and frightened my cat from the moment I opened the box. I immediately emailed HLJ and swapped her for my original order, needless to say.

Animated Leader Megatron for 22.50 at Sainsbury's.

Universe Onslaught and Powerglide are selling for 12.50 on Amazon UK at the moment. For that price I'm almost willing to overlook Onslaught's rubbish siren and Powerglide's sickening obession with Energon Jetfire. Almost.
