If we're talking about the Muppets how abut this - the intro to the Muppet Babies cartoon with Frank 'Megatron' Welker doing the voice of Kermit.

Great show.
In other news, my yearly hunt for cheap easter eggs the day after easter once again proved fruitful. Much cheap chocolate goodness was procured including most spendid Dalek and Judon mugs.

Sadly there were no Dalek mugs to be found in Falkirk. So tragically I am without a Dalek mug. I do however have a nice Judoon Judoon mug from which I have already had a nice cup of decaffinated cofee. (Although, given it is a Judoon mug I should perhaps refer to it as "Coffee!").
Nice quiet day today, watched some "Torchwood", "Ashes to Ashes" and some classic-flavour "Doctor Who". Other than that I have just been doing a bit of pottering about the house and some reading. A most agreeable way to spend a day.

You know something, I don't think it matters how often you see that. It is still a work of utter, utter brilliance.

On the way home from band practice, i noticed the dude who just got off the train at High St. had left his wallet on his seat. I wasn't able to rouse his attention as we pulled away so i handed it to the conductor.
Pointless story - but i just wanted you all to know that today i am a HERO.

A few of my favourite musical sketches from season one (I don't know how to do the embedding thing):
Animal accompanying 'Fever':
Rowlf plays Beethoven's 'Fur Elise':
'Menomana':

I've made the appropriate changes to your post Martin. All you have to do is use the youtube button in the add tag section and inbetween the two tags it makes add the text that comes after the = in the youtube link.

Hi all. Nipped onto my parents PC mid rest day. Still no Magmatron. I'm sure he's on his way though. Can't wait! D.I.Y. 'holiday' going ok. I'm a bit high from wood-wax fumes though. Argh! A giant Mocking Bird is eating my hat and coat!

Does anyone else get the feeling that we should rename this thread 'The Muppet Show Thread'?

Today finds me in a pensive mood. There's a book I really need for the next essay of doom but won't be able to get a library copy in time due to it being on hold already. So I had to buy the damn thing at £20. The price of academic books doth mock me. I have, however, ordered some Muppet Show DVD's relatively cheap on-line in one of those strange 'fuck-it' moods. Five minutes later I thought: 'Fuck, I really don't have the money for that' but then thought: 'Give yourself a break, that's still less than the cost of one supervision session for counselling practice and you did spoon down cash for a course book earlier'. It's funny how I put myself down when I try to treat myself. It's like a big bit of me says: 'you don't deserve that due to limited budget'. Weird. I feel really guilty about it when folk chipped in for travel costs at the weekend just there.
In other news, I'm pretty fucked up right now. Been in therapy for a couple of months now about something and frankly my head is being turned inside out. I must admit (and this may come as a shock to some) but while I was physically present in Cardiff at the weekend, a lot of the time I wasn't really present emotionally at all.
Very confusing.
Er.............................MUPPETS!

I feel really guilty about it when folk chipped in for travel costs at the weekend just there. -Ralph I do that sometimes as well. I almost always have a little bit of "buyers remorse" in that regard. I don't think there's anything I have bought recently where I didn't think "but you don't actually _need_ that" . I think in my case it is a hang-over from my upbringing. I do not come from a prosperous background - which tends to give me a bit of an odd relationship to spending money. That and the fact that it has taken me a while to get my finances straightened out after some recent events. It sounds like you've got something fairly major that you are working through there Ralph. Never a particularly easy experience, but hopefully you will come out the other end the better for it. I've had a genuinely manic day today. My own fault for tempting fate by saying at the weekend that I was quite enjying my job at the moment. Got into the office today to a day that steadily fell apart from the word go. Ah well. T'is over now and I can stick the ol'feet up until tomorrow. Karl

Fuck it. I'll just come out and name it.
It's to do with almost reaching 30 and realising I've never been in a relationship. A couple of very brief flings several years apart (the last of which two years ago left me rather damaged in many ways) and that's it. For years I have denied, distorted and ignored my emotional and physical needs in that regard and now it's all coming home to roost with a crushing sense of loss and loneliness. I haven't slept properly in several weeks as a result.
Now I don't mean to say: "Oh boo hoo, please feel sorry for me", merely that this is the reality for me at this present time and for my own good I need to work through some issues. The irony is that before I went back to Uni, I genuinely thought I had sorted out all my problems! But shit, as they say, happens.
I am not in any way enjoying the process I am working through, but I do know that in the long run it's what I need, for me. I know I'll be genuinely better off by the end of it.
You know, I never used to talk about feelings in any context, but fuck it, that just isn't me anymore.
So there.

It is important to treat yourself and to try and avoid buyers remorse when possible. Having cut back on your impulse buying and your completist urges of late I feel the Muppet DVD's are a welcome and deserved treat for yourself. As for the travelling costs - pay it no mind at all. After all as a bunch of heartless so and sos if we didn't want to, we wouldn't have paid for it. Besides it meant that when flying you did promise me your William Johnson and Kyle Baker page! Andy

I however had nothing to gain from Andy's brainwashing attempt while you were enduring take-off and therefore have no memory of it and would testify as much in a court of law.

"Wallet raping". Like that expression!
When I buy something I never feel guilty, just worry 'bout telling Mrs Shockprowl!
Feel better soon, Doc'. Takes courage to look into oneself.
