I think we've done this before but I've forgotten.
There's been several films I've seen twice at the cinema (Star Trek: First Contact, the Phantom Menace, Two Towers) but I don't think I've done more than that. What about you?

Twice for me for Iron Man, Star Wars (the special edition rerelease in 97), the first Spider-Man film and a couple of others that for the moment escape me.

This question seems familiar for some reason... Star Trek: First Contact - twice.
My brother saw Pulp Fiction about 18 times at the cinema. He was a bored student.

I have seen Star Trek: First Contact 6 times at the cinema. Four times back in the day, and a further two times at Trek movie marathons. As for the others: Motion Picture once, Wrath of Khan twice, Search for Spock twice, The Voyage Home three times, The Final Frontier twice, The Undiscovered Country twice, Generations three times, Insurrection three times and Nemesis three times. I am a Trek movie junkie.
Um, the original Star Wars. Seen the first two three times, ROTJ twice.
Serenity I saw twice. Indy and the Crystal Skull twice.

Serenity. Erm, 7 times at least. More times than I've watched it on DVD despite owning about 3 or 4 different versions. Im not sure Ive even seen every episode of Firefly that many times.
Speaking of which I really need to watch it and Studio 60 again.
I saw Transformers (the new one) 6 times. One of those was because the imax screen screwed up so I got a free pass.

I saw The Fellowship of the Ring five times at the cinema (2002). I was several months in a dull temping job trying to get a proper job, the cinema was next to the bus stop at going home time, and I needed escapism.
I saw Transformers a similar number of times last year (2007), when I was getting bored of the job I'd been in for over five years and once again needed a new direction and escapist relief to keep me going in the meantime. A poorer film was to hand this time, unfortunately.
Following this pattern, in 2012 I'll see some other escapist blockbuster five times just before changing jobs again.

I definitely saw Phantom Menace five times, and it may well have been six. Plenty of two timers since then.

I saw Transformers (2007) four times at the cinema. (Thrice normal and once at the IMAX.)

I'm fairly sure that I have seen something at the cinema twice, but it was sufficiently long ago that I honestly can't remember what it was.
These days going to the cinema is a rare event. (Although I do recall going at least twice this year, which is up on some previous years) It is extremely costly, and the local cinema is sufficiently bad that I prefer to go elsewhere - which adds about seven quid on top of the ticket price. So I have to think very carefully about what I go and see.
