According to an informative poster in the Post Office, October 1st is the cut-off date for surface mail to reach several countries inc USA by Christmas.
October 1st! 3 months before Chrimbo!
At first this seems insane, until some thought is put to the issue. Obviously, Santa Claus is conducting some kind of scam involving the world's mail. Clearly, he is diverting mail after October 1st and hoarding it all within his cave of pixies and using the contents within to cause mischief and mayhem. The current situation with banks going under? That was him.
Someone has to stop Santa BEFORE HE GOES TOO FAR.

Santa is the scourge of all evil. I've always there is something sexually bizarre when people tell you that Santa came down your chimney last night!

Santa is evil. Futurama told me so. The same source also confirms for us that Santa is non-organic... Karl

I'm not even giving a moments thought to Christmas as yet. I've still got other family events between now and mid-December in any event. Also, seeing as I will be in the office up until the 22nd it is just ordinary working time until the public holidays roll around.

I couldn't give a toss about Christmas. It's so far down my list of current worries/priorities it's just not funny.

If I may speak for the group (please correct me if I'm wrong), it's all down to the terrible commercialism and insanly early part of the year that this commercialism starts. Pishes us right off it does!

LOL! why are you all so grumpy about Christmas? Mainly because it's not December yet, I think. It is ridiculous that they have a Santa's grotto in central Cardiff in mid-November, with parents paying money to take their kids in to meet Santa and get a present. It's almost as if they think it won't still be there in a month's time... The Christmas lights are quite tasteful this year though... ...with some of the lights simulating falling snowflakes. When 25 Dec. comes it's always my favourite and most relaxing day of the year. Martin
