I think they are on-line bonus content accessible by folk who have bought the Blu-ray release of the film are they not? That is my, albeit vague, understanding of BD-Live. Karl (But then, it's Thursday. It's been a crazy week and I am tired. I could easily be badly mistaken)

Oh right. I had no idea Blue-Ray had downloadable options.

I think it's a feature of the Blu Ray 2.0 spec, which is only supported by players with an Ethernet connection (i.e. PS3 and a few high-end players).

Karl and Gareth are indeed on the mark there.
The Transformers (2007) Blu-Ray already "comes with" the same downloadable features as the HD-DVD version (GPS thingy, customisable menus, cast/crew profiles) but without the annoying need to keep the ethernet connection going to view them as you can keep them on the PS3 hard drive.
I guess it's a nice way to have "added value" to the purchase.

If I'm spending about £300+ on a PS3 and also getting it hooked up to the net I'd expect something great from a Blu-Ray disc.
