It's such a sad loss when a legend of the screen passes away but he had been ill for quite a while so it was no great surprise.

It is a sad loss - his career spans some absolutely first rate films. I think a memorial viewing of "The Sting" will be necessary in the near future.

Indeed sad but not entirely unexpected news. I think I shall have a hunt around for my copy of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and watch that at some point this week.
