Just got Voyager Bulkhead off Play.com, and his transformation has blown me away. Everything just WORKS so well, particularly the way his wheels revolve to form his feet. He has quickly become my favourite toy to transform.
Any other great transforming out there?

Surely you jest ? Masterpiece Megatron has got to be the most oppressive transformation experience in history - albeit very clever and amazing and wowzers and bow my head to the engineers but nevertheless not a "fun" thing to do This is a great topic - sadly; there are few Transformers that are "fun" to Transform - at least for me... it's always a bit of a pain... I think something like RID Scourge - the Laser Rod Mould would probably be the "funnest" because it's a big truck that chink-chank-chink quickly becomes a well poseable robot.... Then again ANYTHING is fun to Transform once you've handled a Yamato Valkyrie... G1 are also pretty fun to transform. I remember thinking once how difficult it was to transform them, but now it's such a joke (aka simple) when compared to the more complex stuff out there... Pete

MP Megatron is indeed fun if your after and in depth experience.
I'm really taken by leader Bulkhead, with its transformation noise the icing on the cake.
Flipchangers/activators for fiddling with.

For sheer fun and constant fiddling with the Spychanger version of Scourge or Micromaster Rodimus get the lions share of attention here at Turnbull Towers.

There's a lot to be said for Transformers you can transform in a few seconds, i.e. in the time it takes for the vehicle to do a slow motion leap through space.

It's probably why I love the spychangers and micromasters so much.

I have to say that I have a fondness for Black Convoy - the transformation is simple, effective and has a nice chunky feel to it. That said, the spychanger version packs all of the fun of that transformation into a little package so it is a winner too
When I was a kid I quite enjoyed the small toys a lot - Powerglide and Cliffjumper were amongst my favourite toys for fiddling with (which is probably why my Cliffjumper has some joints that are more than a little loose.
Karl (On the other hand my Yamato Valkyries I don't find particularly onerous to transform now that I have become accustomed to the little quirks. The VF-0 on the other hand, that still gives me hives)

Martin That's my main criteria for transformation and one of the big playing points for me when I was a kid. Toys that took too long to transform were no fun when playing at battles because I liked them to use their transformation abilities a lot when fighting! I still prefer quick and easy transformations. I tend not to keep or buy toys with extended complicated transformations. I can admire the engineering greatly (and often do) but rarely do I want to own them. I'd rather look at pictures in a book or good web resource or have a shot of a friends' toy from time to time. This is why I have just three Beast Wars toys even though I find many of them extremely clever. -Ralph

But surely RID Magnus - and in fact all of the CR Cybertrons are not in the category of "fun to transorm" no? They were fairly complex... actually; all in all, they were alot like Beast Wars, except instead of an animal shell...you had a car shell...
I've recently been fiddling with my lovely Omega Supreme Encore. Must say I really like him - he is fun. If you just stick to tank/rocket form, then he is surely lots of fun...
Metroplex is another I'm looking forward to...
But in general I agree with Ralph - quick, simple and easy to transform are the funnest...
As for the VF-O - are you talking about the A or the S, Karl?
My A is helluv delicate, but my S is helluv sturdy.

As a child I used to watch TFTM and transform Scamper everytime there was a transformation on screen - trying to time the transformation to the animation.

I think that a mildly complex toy to transform gives me the most fun. It's interesting to see that so-and-so part of the toy in vehicle mode is cleverly hidden or turned into something you wouldn't expect in robot mode. I find toys that are too easy to transform boring as I get no fun out of something that only takes just a few seconds to transform and thus takes the challenge out of the toy.

Parts of it just feel like they are waiting to pull away in my hands at times. Not that I've had any problems with it, it just makes me feel somewhat uneasy. Karl

Beast Wars Snapper. Really simple, with a fun flip style transformation. Love playing with that wee turtle.

I'm probably one of the few who really does enjoy transforming RID Magnus. In recent memory I've had lots of fun with Cybertron Primus and Movie Leader Prime. Both are very clever and well engineered but not too difficult or fiddly. Metroplex was my favourite toy as a kid and I came up with so many alternate modes for him back when I had an imagination. I miss that.
