I finally had a play with my MP Grimlock, who had arrived a couple of weeks ago. What a fantastic toy. He's just a bigger more posable version of the original. MP Starscream has been deposed as my favourite MP.

He is. He's not anywhere near worth the asking price (I like more expensive toys to do more stuff rather than just be bigger) but as it was unlikely to ever be cheaper I don't begrudge it. It's a very nice update of the original (which I must one day own) and the crown makes it. Not as good as Action Master Grimlock or Richard Nixon Pretender Grimlock though. It lacks the charm of those.
But yes, solid figure. Very shiny. Has quite a vibe of the Marvel version in robot mode.

...and just thought I'd update to say that the OVERALL BEST Transformers toy of 2010 for me is: MP Grimlock! - Tony As we speak my MP Grimlock is sitting downstairs with some glue setting in the screw hole that holds one of his tail halves in place in the hope it will finally stay on! |

I'm still regreting not getting it and all I wanted it for was the crown. Hopefuly it'll start turning up at car boots during the summer or at least the crown.
