This has got to be my favourite time of the year.
The leaves are turning, there's a smell of Autumn in the air and the wind and the rain humble me and remind me that forces greater than humanity are at work to conspire against getting my socks dried on the washing line.

Autumn is great. Even 17 years of having to return to school for another year couldn't spoil it or me.
Last week was Hull Fair which pretty well defines the beginning of Autumn in these parts.
Opened up the fluorescent pink spray paint for Animated AMTC over the weekend. It's wonderfully bright, but distracting me from my polygons or whatever I'm supposed to be learning now. On the plus side both activities mean I spend most of the day in the conservatory so I get to enjoy the varying weather up front.

The smackdown has been layeth on landlord/letting agency. Ralph is victorious. I shouldn't have any more bother towards the end of my tenancy.

ARGHHHHHHH This is now the second time we've had a mouse/rat/thing in the flat! Managed to get rid of the first one a few months back after putting down a billion humane traps and givingup an entire weekend to chasing the bastard and now we've got another one!
Can't use poisons or sonics to get rid of the fucker as we've got 2 little Hamsters. The other half is going bananas about it and is refusing to come home from work until it's caught. It's all Preston City Council's fault - asshats!

Have the clocks changed? ? Won't somebody tell me? -Ralph Not as far as I am aware. According to my calendar British Summer Time ends on Sunday 26th, which would give us a few days still. Karl

Clocks go back in the middle of this coming weekend - Saturday night. Prepare to travel backwards in time!
Anything you do in that hour can be undone and re-done differently when you have that hour of your life over again.
Usually I just sleep the same sleep over again.

What is the exact time of night the clocks change? I don't want to be in the middle of something that I'm going to have to do again.

I used to refuse to change the time on my watch. Winter was always a little confusing.

What is the exact time of night the clocks change? I don't want to be in the middle of something that I'm going to have to do again. My Radio Times says 2am Sunday morning. The perfect crime... get yourself a watertight alibi with dozens of reliable witnesses for 1.30am on Sunday 26th October, then put the clocks back and go burgle the house of a TF collector of your choice an hour later. You'll be able to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were elsewhere at the time! Martin

I often wonder if a patient is told by their doctor that they have so many hours to live, does the patient then have to deduct/add the hour afterward? IE Doctor; "You have an hour to live! Unfortunately, the clocks are due to go back so you'll die any minute now!"

Or a doctor would say to a patient 'you died an hour ago becaue the clocks had to go forward an hour!'
I can't see the point in all this putting the clocks forward / backwards / sideways etc. This week I'm starting work at 7am and its pitch dark outside when I set off for work so next week when I set off for work its going to be even darker in the mornings.

But, re-reading that article, it seems the hamster is called Fudgie. Which is worse.
