The two/three on a team quiz show (like Have I Got News For You? or Mock the Week or QI or Would I Lie To You or Never Mind the Buzzcocks or 8 Out of Ten Cats...) seems like a popular formula on television.
What's your favourite?
(Edited because Graham sometimes has trouble counting.)

QI and Have I Got News For You are the two best though Buzzcocks can be very funny depending on the guests.

QI for it's consistency. It doesn't have to depend on the guests. Buzzcocks has got wierd lately and now that Bailey's gone. HIGNFY I haven't watched in ages. I got bored of the guest quiz master format which seemed to reach it's zenith with Bruce Forsyth.

Er, Have I got News For You is only two-per-team.
Anyone remember Space Cadets?

QI is also two on each side, and they play on their own, not in teams, but if it counts then that's what I vote for. Consistently high standard of panellists and humour.
Second, Would I Lie to You, mainly for David Mitchell's rants.
Third, HIGNFY.
Fourth, Mock the Week, though the laughs there are very cheap.
And those are the only ones I watch.
Radio 4's good though: Just a Minute, The News Quiz, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (RIP).

They Think It's All Over used to very funny until Lee Hurst left then it went steadily downhill as did Never Mind The Buzzcocks after Mark Lamarr left. In the earl nineties I used to enjoy Call My Bluff and especially the banter that used to go on between the two team captains. I can't actually think of anymore three-a-side quizzes that I've actually watched as I don't generally tend to watch them these days.
