It just pips Doctor Who as the Chrimbo Day TV highlight for me. Who is on several times a year and this is the 4th Chrimbo Special, but a new Wallace and Gromit special is a rare event!

Oh I'm definitely looking forward to this the most - I always find the Who xmas specials a bit lacking compared to the series that follows (though of course there is no series this time).

I don't watch much Xmas TV as it has got a little tedious over the years. Every time I pick up a TV guide I always seem to notice the following things on TV over christmas

A James Bond Film
The Snowman
The Queen's Christmas Message

Well, I only watch one of those anyway - and that depends on which Bond film it is.

Actually, I thought the last few Christmas' have been quite good - over the last couple of years we've had "The Big Sleep", "The Manchurian Candidate" and a few other pretty good movies. The addition of a Wallace and Gromit special this year will be a rather nice dusting of sugar on the pie.

Anyways. I am really happy that Peter Sallis has reprised his Wallace voice again. I have so much respect for that guy, he's truely lived a wholsesome lifetime of accomplisments. Peter is almost 90 and still on Last of the Summer Wine too, a show he's appeared in since the start 35 years ago.

Last of the Summer Wine is one comedy that I can't stand even though my father thinks its one of the funniest comedies he's ever seen. All credit to Peter Sallis though, he's one of those people who have managed to entertain the public for many years and is likely to do so until his dying day (which sounds a bit morbid but true nontheless).

I don't watch much Christmas TV these days as I believe that the best Christmas TV is all in the past and just showing re-runs of these classics don't hold the same kind of interest for me like they used to.

I never get bored of the Snowman myself. After many years in a row of failing to tape it every Christmas I ended up buying it on DVD and the rare David Bowie intro version too.

Christmas specials don't necessarily have to be Christmas themed, do they? Jonathan Creek Christmas Specials are just in name only and I really look forward to this new offering.

BBC1: 8:30PM: Wallace and Gromit: A Matter of Loaf and Death (bit late for the kiddies)
BBC1: 10:30PM: Blackadder Rides Again

I had to buy this on DVD last Christmas because I kept missing the TV appearances (like with The Snowman). Easily a brilliant adaption of the Dickins' tale.

My brother has that episode on DVD and when I watched it I thought it was one of funniest Top Gear episodes I'd seen.

I wanted to watch the new Wallace and Gromit episode but missed that. Not quite sure what time the Blackadder Rides Again documentary is on but no doubt I've already missed that as well.

Blackadder Rides Again was good. Not sure why the documentary did'nt acknowledge the Back and Forth TV special from a few years back though.

Doctor Who was good.

The Queens Speech was AMAZING!!!

I have Wallace and Gromit on Sky+ and will catch up with that another time. Modern tech is making it more easy to not miss all the good Chrimbo telly.
