Who was your favourite TF to helm the letters page, and why? Make your case!

It should come as no surprise to anyone who my vote is for, that's right Ratchet.
Now I grew up mostly reading US comics before I discovered the british variety and letters pages tended to have a gentle, encouraging and almost paternal vibe to them. Something that Ratchet's single effort brought to the table.
Now the other letter pages hosts were certainly entertaining but more often than not, and especially the Dread-Tidings era tended to talk down to the readers when a daft question was asked or would make smart ass remarks as opposed to giving an answer. Now that's funny enough to read, but when you realise it's an editor/writer making a joke at some poor kid's expense you realise it's in poor taste.
A vote for Ratchet is a vote for decency.

What about when the lady editor was doing it for the first lot of issues.

As you so eloquently pointed out she was a lady not a TF so she's not in the poll.

You all know who to vote for: Soundwave.
Who else kept us properly informed as to what was 'real' in the comic and what was 'fiction'? Who else correctly unformed us that the cartoon was fabrication? Grimlock copied him! Why? Because he knew that Soundwave spoke true. Why go against such wisdom?
Soundwave also introduced the word puttup to the world, surely something that has served us all in good stead over the years? His cruel taunts of the young children writing in to their outer space robot comic carefully prepared them for the big wide world beyond their soon-to-expire youth. But he also had a loving side. Note the many pictures produced by children that he would graciously allow to be printed. He did not need to do this. He did it because he cared. He truly was a communications expert!
He was also a fine soldier, rightly seizing control of the letters page back after only one issue from that upstart Ratchet. What a sterling example to the nations youth! What a command performance!
A vote for Soundwave is a vote for all that is right and proper in this -or any other- world.

As a student of Elwood P Dowd I must vote on the side of decency, i.e. Ratchet.
Also, Soundwave should be embarrassed that he allowed a pacifist like Ratchet to nick his page at all.

Soundwave merely allowed the opposition to have a go, so that he could crush them utterly all the better!

It has to be Soundwave for the reason that Ralph has stated above. Ratchet was never on the letters page long enough to make much of an impact while Dreadwing tended to only insult the readers. Grimlock was also quite good and he comes a close second to Soundwave and as for Blaster - I don't remember anything notable he contributed to the letters pages.

Grimlock was also good and a close 2nd but everything he did, Soundwave had already done and done better.

It's currently neck and neck between Soundwave and Grimlock with Ratchet a close second and Blaster being the tail-end Charlie.

Come on Ratchet fans, don't let decency down, we can't let rudeness and deceipt win. We don't want to live in a world like that, just look at any DC comic published just now to see examples of this.

Soundwave has no need for such pathetic begging. His record speaks for itself.

Admirable qualities for a strong letters page host in a robot war comic. What can Ratchet contribute? Nothing! He is soft. And weak. He is a norm. All norms are our enemy.
This has been a party political broadcast in support of the 'Vote Soundwave' party.

Sounded suspiciously like something one of the mutos said in Genesis of the Daleks.
Plagiarism, bullying and propaganda - your list of crimes grows!

Soundwave samples the best of popular culture using his mighty communication powers and presents them for the benefit of his young readers.
