What's to say he doesn't later on? Good point, although the way he said his goodbyes would possibly suggest he intended not to.

Leobahn's played by Callum Keith Rennie. Previously most famous as the Second Ray Vechio AKA Ray II in Due South Oooh I didn't know that!

Baltar's 'knowing about farming' refferance was very well done. An emotional full-circle moment.

You know, if it'd all happened before, and before, and before, and before, maybe God, the orchestrater of it all, the facilitator of the Baltar and Six angels, and the Starbuck angel, maybe he/it/them are the ancient super advanced ancestors of the Human/Cylon cycle, trying to break that cycle.

Possibly.... Similar plotline to the Mass Effect games in that sense.
But it raises then what the series meant by 'God' though - 'God' in the sense that New Atheists seem to like (i.e. a hyper evolved being constrained by the universe's nature) or 'God' as religions understand God (i.e . an eternal being whose existance and nature is seperate to the universe).

I've been humming 'Kara Remembers' (All Along the Watchtower) for weeks now around the house.
Earlier tonight, Mrs Shockers snapped, and coldly said "STOP humming that tune."
without missing a beat I cooly looked and pointed at her, and said... "Cylon!"
She didn't deny it.

Watched 'Daybreak' again tonight.
It really is the best ending. Perfection.

I may just have impulse purchased Galactica 80 in an HMV sale. It's the only Galactica I don't own.
I am sure I can do this. I managed to get through the Planet of the Apes TV series and lived. I'm not sure how to prepare though.

I'm not sure how to prepare though. Here's a fun fact, the original pitch for Galactica 1980 (part of which survived into the initial 3-parter) was later rejigged into a little show called Quantum Leap!

That's it is it? that's the only thing the hive mind can use as a positive for this series? Oh dear.
I barely remember it. I remember two idiots on motorbikes and that one of them was the bowl cut kid from the original series.

Pinwig! Praise be Brother Galactica 1980!
Troy and Dillon will not disappoint you. Neither of them are turkeys! *flies motorbike. Jumps like Space Scout*
I am feeling inspired to dig my copy out again. And to treat the Scots crew to surprise presents. Joy unbounded!!

Ah, that's more like it. I feel inspired now. I will put this top of the watching list after the week's regulars. I really do want to renew those vague memories.

I will prevail! I've watched some tripe in my time; ten episodes of this will be easy!
I'm sure it will.
Won't it?

The 4-issue comic version of Galactica 1980 from Dynamite was surprisingly good though. Read that instead. Save yourself.

I saw some back in the VHS days, but my first real watch was on DVD. The last episode is quite good (I think it was the last one) or at least not as bad as the rest, but otherwise I'm glad I picked it up as a bargain bin deal. I'll have to give the comic version a go.

I think I remember seeing this, if they where out in the mid west (but could be thinking about the BSG pilot).
