Poochie gets his own comic?!
I can see it now: Poochie appears in almost every scene, and for those he's not in, everyone stands around asking "where's Poochie?". All of the other Autobot's get stuck in a hole and are jumped by the Decepticon's and Poochie arrives and kicks all their metallic arses blindfolded and with one hand tied behind his back. He then strikes a cool pose and Shane McCarthy gives himself a big pat on the back. The End.

I will say this much for IDW, they have my thanks for doing such a good job of saving me money. They keep putting up preview pages of their comics which allow me to discover that I don't like them before I plunk down my money.

It's an unorthodox marketing strategy, I'll give them that.

Next thing you know they'll be showing us a five-page preview of one of their comics along with a message stating 'don't buy this comic - it's shit!'

That's pretty funny Charles. But that said I think people should at least wait until the spotlight is out before concluding it'll be pants. You may be pleasantly surprised.

That's true, it could actually turn out to be good (Spotlight Drift wasn't bad after all).
I just couldn't resist the gag!

The summary on TF Wiki has Drift bringing up that the war's made the Autobots mean and nasty. Ish nine of AHM did this too, didn't it?
Is IDW planning to make the Autobot's war methods "nicer" (i.e. more like the 1980s)?

When the Spotlights started, they were excellent. Since then, there seems to have been some sort of Spotlight Drift.

Charles, your interpretation of this issue is really funny.

I dunno, I think Graham's bad pun tops it.
EDIT: I wish I'd had Sultry Alien Girl says "you should buy Max Dinos instead", because DAMN IT YES EVERYONE SHOULD WHY ISN'T IT SELLING GANGBUSTERS.

Max Dinos has had all round good reviews but a harsh dropoff in sales. In fact the dropoff is so steep I'd attribute that to the horrible distribution it seems to have recieved.

I attribute it to a Machination plot.

It's never a good idea to launch the 'new' series before finishing the 'old' one properly first. It's not surprising AHM is outselling MD in single issue format.

No need for karma Shockers, old bean. It's already enough that I know you're out there, ready to save my life should I get a lung caught on a barbed wire fence.

I noticed that Perceptor gets shot in the face two panels after getting shot in the chest. This seemed a bit pointless to me but then I realised that this is probably the reason why Perceptor has a cross hair eye patch in AHM.

It looks gorgeous, but the story is pretty by the numbers to be honest and doesn't make me think Drift is any less a Mary Sue.

Agree it's a good looking issue. There was some good story stuff too. At least I think there was, I kept getting infuriated by Kup walking around with that cigar so I forgot.
