I heard my old job was going and I was going to apply for it until I heard it's only a 3-month temp thing. Too risky.
Ah well.
The last four potential employers didn't get back to me, so looks like every job app of the last 6 months has resulted in bugger all, and we're heading into about a month of dead time, recruitment-wise. My mood is poor.

Probably a good thing that you decided not to apply for your old job back.
Chin up lad, something will crop up soon enough!

Pub quiz last night - good fun meeting up with the boys, a splendid opening half with a spectacularly poor second saw front runners go to mid table respectability.
Bah.

Just when I thought it had passed, the space lurgy is back with a vengeance.
Internet connection has been very intermittent last night and this morning, making the process of filling in an on-line application rather more vexing than it needed to be. DAMN YOU, ORANGE BROADBAND!

Is it a wireless connection? Cus it could just be your wireless adapter is buggered as that's how my broadband behaved just before two of my adapters melted. Not that that makes things much better and it would mean extra cost is on the way... In other news my head is POUNDING!

Illness. Interestingly I was looking forward to some alcohol tonight after being to busy being ill recently. Guess that's not going to happen. I thought I was getting better and would be fully recovered soon but nope. Hard to think straight with it think i'm going to go collapse somewhere.

Yes indeed.
Sounds a bit like my own malaise!
Orange broadband continues to be flakey. Not on wireless: just them being shit as usual. This has, however, prevented me from watching the Sarah Jane episode with the Brigadier. Damn it!

Piglet 'helped' us put up our Christmas tree this aft. When she wasn't trying to climb up the tree, she was attempting to strangle herself with tinsle!

I've watched Muppet Christmas Carol twice this week. It must be nearly Christmas.

At a bus stop this evening, there was a note informing the public that it is out of use tomorrow morning as Santa is using it. Unusual.

So he starts his Christmas rounds in Glasgow then does he..... Andy Quite sensibly he wants to get it out of the way - after all, once he has done Glasgow then nothing else in the world is going to phase him really is it? (Although he would still have to face Falkirk.... brave soul that he is). Karl

Net connection is flakey as hell. This angers me. Also, the lack of bookshops in my area angers me. The never-ending cold angers me. The very air itself angers me!
What must I do?
*beam of light strikes down...from space!*
I AM OMAC! EVACUATE THIS AREA! I AM GOING TO DESTROY IT!

This dose of MAN-FLU, has allowed me plenty of viewing time, however. I've watched both Iron Man and Incredible Hulk (which I got for my Birthday) acoupla times. I think they've done a really good job with these films. Top marks. Really excited 'bout Marvel films at the mo. They seem to be hitting the nail every time. Hope they do another Fantastic Four film.

When I get full on man flu it tends to be my knees that ache and means I find it quite difficult to move about. Thankfully I've only ever had it full on twice that I can recall. Although last year I had a cough so constant and severe I couldn't lie down I had to sit up and only slept when I actually passed out from exhaustion. That was a really shitty four days before it eased up.
